Just intergrated my 30gig ipod video into my boat and i am wondering what the best case is to protect it from the bumps and water. Any recomendations?

Theres one called the Otter Box that it totally water proof. If youve got the ipod hooked into your boat through the headphone port it will work, if youre hooked up through the serial port than its no good.

I have it running through the headphone jack via a monster cable going to an aux input but unfortuanely I have to use the bottom to plug into an outlet to charge it...........thanks for the input though :)

Thats the best choice.... I have that for my 30GB video ipod. And always avoid using the headphone jack when hooking up to a stereo system that you actually want to play loud. Always use the digital if possible.

Go to Frys Electronics Store and pick up a Pelican Box. They have alot of different sizes I have one that will hold my Ipod, Phone and wallet.
