Is it open at night? Does anyone hang out there after dark?

Not positive here but I think it's just a daytime place.

I'm not sure Bill as I've only been there once during the day but that could be a pretty cool party spot at night.

Where do you park your boat while visiting the Naked Turtle? The beach out front or the docks? May have to pay a visit this weekend!!

We went there last friday night and it was packed. Mostly a younger crowd. Had a blast. Stumbled back to the nautical.

There open till 11:00. Boat parking is kind of a biatch though if you are not a hotel guest. Last week they were checking each boat to see if they had a hotel band. If not they were making you move to the left side (the bar area) of the posted sign.
Go and have fun, it is one of the collest hang-out shacks in the summer when the weather is smokin....

I have always wondered about the beach parking, and if they actually have a right to control who parks there. Where does their property actually start and end at the lakes edge? If it was the ocean, it would be the mean high tide line, but on the lake, does water level have anything to do with it?

That is a good question Phebus. My guess is that the Hotel owns all the land in the cove and all the way to the point (light). When it is not crowded in the daytime you can get away with parking past the sign but as the day winds down and the hotel guests start coming back then you can bet they will start the beach patrol.
Still a great place.....

OK, I stand corrected. Note to self... spend more time out late drinking at the Naked Turtle Bar. :rollside:

We normally stop there for drinks after a day on the lake....before heading to RR or Kokomos. Last summer they were open real late...like 1:00am or so. Boat parking is a bitch but worth it. Most times we've found it a really mixed crowd and a lot of fun. They turn on the misters on hot summer nights. Try it, you'll like it. :D

Is your cart street legal? I would like to do that also from the Islander, but am worried about getting popped by the man on the way.
Also is it legal for my 12 yo son to be my designated driver???? :D
