I claim 2 dependents and they are taking 31.5% this is the first time I have realized how much the government takes. This is just insanity and I just paid $2.69 per gallon for gas. How can people live like this? :burningm:

If you want to find out how much goes out monthly on average to the feds, turn to page two on your 1040, line 62 divide by 12 = monthly taxes paid.
State tax paid, go to the Form 540, line 37, divide by 12 = monthly state tax.

I can take what I make & figure I will take home 52% of gross pay after everything is taken out, All Taxes, Health Ins., 401K, 401K loan, Stock Plan, life insurance. Sometimes I wonder who I am actually working for, Me or for everyone else :angry2:

My take home pay barely takes me home...
The prices of stuff especially here in Cali is ridiculous, after paying your taxes and gas, groceries, mortgage payments and all the other bullshit I'm surprised that any of us can actually afford to launch our boats, let alone get them to the water... :hammer2: :hammer2: :hammer2: :hammer2: :hammer2: :hammer2:

So the question is...
What are we going to do about this? Shall we go burn down the IRS buildings?
I want the gas prices back down too. This shit is getting out of hand.

They get us in other ways... excise taxes, property taxes, personal property (luxury) taxes, waste management fees for light bulbs, styrofoam cups, video tapes, tires, computers and monitors, (only a partial list) park fees, bridge tolls, toll roads, special assessment districts, utility taxes, social security and medicare taxes. With all the other "revenue opportunities" our Federal, State, County and Cities have created for themselves... I wonder if your tax rates are all that much higher.
