the talk about the fabulous Desert Heat Poker Run, I'll ask this of all you locals: what is the most boring part of your week-end trips? My guess is the 129 miles from Barstow to Needles. Any others?

Traffic through Victorville on the way home sucks.
As for the Desert Storm, except for hitting something (and thinking I broke a drive), the ole Tugboat ran great. I even won a pair of prop covers and a sandspike.

Missed the heatwave, sadly to say.
Got a good look at MAMBA and xXx outerlimits though, all I can say is "Damn".

1 step, you missed the point, I think. I asked what is BORING. Rice is not boring, if you're paying attention. You need to drive Rice road. Therefore, I disagree with you

The 129 miles between Barstow and needles is boring, but Rice rd. is what? :confused: exciting?
Hell, I've driven that road more times than I can remember, most recently last Saturday, and you know what?
Thats the most boring part of my trip. :D
90 miles of two lane asphalt to dullsville.
