Are they ALL $50,000 now? I'm not looking to buy one but when I had my truck in at the dealership nearly every Tahoe's price hovered around $50,000. GM did a good job re-doing them but when did Tahoes become $50K vehicles?

Never going to be worth that IMO.
Get ready for another drop on the used Tahoe/Yukon market.
Man they look nice and my GF is thinking about one. she wants to get rid of her Discovery Range rover/land rover whatever thing.

that sucks....my parents just traded in for an 06 xl yukon(sub)....for 32 k w/ leather and everything brand new! thats sad....to me, they look great except for the front end which makes me throw up whenever i see it but thats just me....hopefully someone like jay or someone can shed some light cuz that would be sad if they were that much.

When did a 2 bedroom shack become $350- $500 k?
When did gas become $3.30 / Gal?
When did a 21ft boat become $45k
At least beer hasn't been overvalued..or has it? :)

I don't think they are worth that either, take a look at the Nissan Armadas.

I don't understand why GM changed the package badging to LS, LT, LT1, LT2, LTZ, or whatever the hell it is. It used to be simple, LS-nicely equipped, LT-leather-balls-out equipped. Now the LS comes without carpet! I think the higher priced Tahoes are the LTZ's. They got it all. CHARLEYOX got one, and let me take it for a cruise. I have to say, it's NICE!!! It's CHEVY's answer to the ESCALADE. I think they made the TAHOE so folks could buy a high end GM SUV and not look like a Rapper cruising down the street...........

I'll get shot for this, but I still have my (my daughter has it now) 85 K5 Blazer - I've had it for years and she runs great, looks good and I keep it for sentimental reasons but I love the Olddddddeeer Chebys LOL.
I'd post pics but ***boatpics is down :(

I also have a 98 Tahoe and its a great truck but I prefer the K5 over it as far as wheeling and just plain fun. I like the Tahoe but I just cant get the "grocery getter" image out of my mind when I drive it. :rollside:

I just went out front and looked at 4 of ours. $34K (with carpet) to $46K very nicely equipt. It's a free (???) country, and Jay does throw a good deal to all, but for what it's worth, I'm at Wm. L. Morris Chevrolet in Simi Valley. Oh, and tell them Paul in service sent you... I might get some $$. We have some more in back but I haven't check them out. Thanks!

Just responding to Bobby B (post#8) I inspect all the new units that we receive and haven't seen one without fuzzy floors. LOL :)

But the third row seats still don't fold flat. :crossx: If a frickin' Kia can do it, why can't Chevy? (They didn't want to copy Ford, BS)
Aside from the motor, I think I like the Ford/Lincolns better.

I decided to upgrade my 03' Yukon to an 07' last month. Din't need too, but couldn't pass up the deal. The 07' has a 5.3 with the V-4 mode. Really like the new one. Currently have 1k and the mpg is getting better. Tows real nice.

What $50,000?
Mine was $33ish. Didn't go with leather, but still very plush inside. Tow Package, locking diff, traction control, rear sensors, Bose 6 disc, 3rd row seat, OnStar, Adjustable pedals. Definitely not a stripped edition.
Thanks Jay! :D
Oh. And I kind of like the front end. Here's mine:

Third row should not be an option, it should be standard.

I've read somewhere that , the MDS equipped vehicles have a lower tow capacity ,compared to previous models  .Check the owners manual if it's true ?

I actually own the F150 FX4. And I love it.

You may be on to something. But, its true that the '07 have less towing capacity than the '06 and down models. I think that frame and suspension changes have more to do with it than engines with Displacment on Demand having less power than full time V8 engines. All you have to do is look at the horsepower and torque ratings and compare between the two.

Not required. They only issue one plate, unless the front plate is specifically requested, or for some special plates. (They issued 2 historic plates for my VW Bug)
