Hey, a little powder coating, polish the exhaust uprights, billet pulleys, billet PS reservoir, get rid of all the fricken hoses and bull sh*t with MY oil cooler/bracket kit (I will post pics tomorrow) and WALLA, an engine that doesn't look like an industrial back up generator. Eddies gets $575 for there 6 piece billet pulley kit for the 502. I'll take $525 for my 8 piece set-up. I also make coil relocate kit and plug wires There are good looks available for the 496!.

INSMAN, I have your coolers ready to ship. If you did the Raylar thing you are making way too much heat for the stock cooler. Life will be short. Ask Ray.

Go ahead and call Ray to get it done. He will just add it to my bill !! Polished or powdercoated ?? If powdercoated, I need a specific color Ray can give you.

The cooler cannot be powdercoated as the baking process also melts the solder. They are painted black but you can paint any color you like. Mounts on the back of the block with polished billet brackets. I will post pics later on today. The nice thing is you remove the two little coolers, the stupid backflush valves and about a zillion other hoses, brackets and fittings so it really cleans up the motor.

WOW, those look really nice Franky! I can't wait to see what you've done for the oil coolers.

HOLYMOLY,
Could you do that magic trick thing that makes all 5 pictures of the oil cooler stuff I just put in Image Center, Gear, Motors, Franky.
Crap you remove, oil cooler bracket, couple views of install, oil filter head.
This cooler was a prototype in chrome, the real deal is painted black. Hoses are -10, fittings are 1/2", higher flow, less restriction. Cooler is over 3X the heat exchange capacity of stock.
Thanks - Franky

nice looking stuff.
Are you gonna have this stuff for sale over at Raylar? Might need the cooler.
Valve covers?
Thanks

Thanks Dave!
I will if Ray ever returns my e-mails! More pics of oil cooler package I am trying to have posted (see previos post).
Valve Covers... just milled off the bosses for the coils and welded up the holes, then powder coated. I would not do this again, thin casting warped when welded. Working on billet valve covers now. With the time spent milling off the bosses, welding holes, milling again, grinding, sand blasting (Merc paint is TOUGH), powder Coating....might as well start from scratch.

So Franky, what boat is this going in?

OK, short story long.
Pulled the 496 out of the 25' Cole to do all of the development work. Pulled the 600HP 502 out of the 19' Daytona and dropped it in the Cole (the Cole was wanting the power and it REALLY came alive). Built the blown 844HP motor for the Daytona, was tooo scarey and then bought the 21' Schiada sans motor in the mean time. Pulled the blown motor from the Daytona and put it in the Schiada. Now........either the Daytona goes bye bye, sans engine or...I put the 600HP 502 back in the Daytona (more civil) and the 496 back in the Cole or....put the 496 in the Daytona (that would be funky) so all can see (demo boat) or....put the 810HP Vortec supercharged motor I've had sitting arouond from my first Cole (20.5' SS) in the Daytona or.....

I say you should keep this 496 around. Use it to keep comming up with real parts that not only make it look better but also run better. Looks like you are on the right track to me.
A Raylar package with your parts added sounds like the complete package!
