Palm Springs to L.Powell Whats the best Route?

I am heading to Lake Powell next week and want to tap the experts here on the best route to take.
I want to end up thru Page AZ starting from Palm Springs.
What is the best route?

Not an expert, but I did stay at a holiday inn express once. 10 east to the 101 loop as you are getting in to Phx, north around to the 17 north to Flagstaff and then east on 40 to 87 (I think it is 87, just not positive) north to Page.

Desert Center to the 95, to the 40, east on 40 to flagstaff, turn left!

If you want to take I-15, then take the 10 to 62 through 29 palms, right on highway 247 (Barstow Road) then north on I-15
