I don't want to get in the middle of this, but it's always hard not to jump right in! LOL
I think I know who No Name is. He's a good guy but we aren't close friends or anything, but I appreciated him stopping by and saying hello at the Nautical the other day. Jordy is a close friend of mine. Not too many years ago, Jordy and I used to argue online about everything with the exception of one thing. And that had to do with Kachina boats.
There are plenty of threads here with those comments. I stand by them. I have no problem with Kachina boats. You get what you pay for. They have very creative paint jobs. There hardware on board is the same as you can get on any other production boat. I am not a fan of the rigging or the layup. It's an opinion. You can get more boat for your money at Kachina, no doubt. But I get tired of people comparing it to other boats like they are in the same category. Right or wrong, I compare it to buying a "KIA". We all know you paid for it. And it gets you to the lake. And you have a great time. And a lot of good people own them. Like a "Kia" and a "Corvette" you have to know the limits of your boat. That's where we disagree. I have a considerable amount of boating experience. I own several boats, including a "bigger" vessel someplace south of the US. I have been in 16 foot seas, submarined a large vessel and come out of it ok. Big water can be scary. It can break boats. Catalina is the perfect example. Nice in the morning but can get nasty in the afternoon. Just because you see a Top Gun or a Fountain take off for the mainland, doesn't mean you should take your "Bayliner" etc. etc through the same stuff. Does that make sense?
So to clarify, you will get an earful from me when you start telling me how your Kachina is comparable to some other brand of boat and can do the same things in difficult situations. I guess that's my point.
As far as a sausage barge for Jordy, he had the opportunity to bring several girls but chose against it because of the kind of ride he knew he was going to have. Screaming girls in the back wasn't condusive to a successful run. I took my other half and my regular crew with me in the big boat and we did fine in the "washtub" that was the lake after everyone ran through. :crossx:
It's the internet folks. We'll meet up at the lake shortly and make up. We always do. So chill out. We'll drink it out at the lake or Top Shelf one night soon. :cool:
I am gone for the next couple of weekends. Boating in Mohave and Havasu. Then back for a bit before doing the ocean thing for awhile.

I never said anything about a sausage fest. I was just trying to make a point that the he is a stand up guy and will help out anyone out there on the water anytime. As far as dogging the guys ( or anyone’s ) boat I don’t think that’s to cool. There is a lot of boats that I or friends of mine think are ugly but we would never trash someone’s ride they worked hard to get. I just think it’s good manners but like you said, to each his own.

It's all good! I just don't want anyone mad at me for something I didn't direct their way. If I said it, I will stand by it, however shiot get's out of control here quickly and takes a turn to negative town in a hurry!

The fighting thing was a joke. As long as "others" tool around in my previous boat and I maintain my "Big Warlock" moniker, I feel safe that I can stir the pot, make an issue and threats and then go to the lake and watch the fun , knowing at least Jordy will be with me to laugh as "Justin takes the lake!" Hahahahaha. We wouldn't let it last too long. We would still be cool, as the older, adult figure in the group, I would come over and smooth things out. :p

Word of warning! I WILL HAVE A SAUSAGE FEST IN HAVASU IN 2 WEEKS! We planned a guys weekend trip with some other friends and boats from Phoenix. And the girls are having a girls weekend on the "big boat" down in Puerto Vallarta. As always, what happens in Havasu stays in Havasu. As far as my paint job, it was white for a year. Then I painted some simple graphics. Then I had to repaint my boat again because I had seen someone else with the same graphics - different colors. So I had to paint it so nobody could copy it. And for the dark colors - lime green, silver, purple and yeah the dark color black.
