Questions like
How long does the beer last in there? or how fast does it go empty? (lol)

I think you should purchase one and perform an in-depth study and get back to us.
Sooooooo. We'll be hearing from you in a couple hours...

we just got them back in at costco $450. will hold 1/4 or 1/2 kegs, tap is on top. Back in the day the bachelor pad had one of these, it seemed like if it went more than about 4 weeks the beer would get flat. Didn't happen very often.

So if the beer DOES sit in there for a longer eriod of time it WILL go flat?

Not if you have it pressurized with the CO2. It should last a couple of months, no problem. I put one in my backyard when I redid it this winter. So far, I haven't had a keg last more than 2 week! http://www.lasvegas***boats.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/drinkers.gif

So for research and to help WildBill out, why don’t you have it any more?
Were not able to consume it all before it went flat?
Pain in the ass to buy kegs and load them up?
Not cost effective?
No room for it?
I'm curious also. I don’t think I could make one pay off. : Idea: Now if I were young and single it would be another story :)

we had it for a few months. we had to get rid of it because Jamie use to get headaches from the co2 not sure why but he did. so we traded it . :p

I am still looking for a good deal on one. I found out that some of the microbreweries (like Mudsharks) will package 5gal kegs of their own beer. That seems the way I would go rather than the 15.5 gal kegs. :crossx:

I built my own out of an old frige, if you dont drink alot or have alot of friends over use the pony kegs. You can get the conversion kits just about anywhere just look aroun on the net and also get your CO2 bottle from the someon that works at a store get the 20 lbs. bottle so you dont have to worry bout running out right in the middle of a big throw down. BEWARE draws go down so easy I stayed fowled out for bout a week when I first got mine. Plus the ones that are in the pics. on this thread $$$$$$$$$$

I have the Vliking one which I believe is made by Marvel. I have had full size kegs for months and they stay good. Just be ready to gain seriuos wait and get a lot of new freinds! It really is best to have the 3 little kegs it it so you have 3 types for everyone to choose from.

You can get a small cluster of three mini kegs and change the pour spout to have three diferent pullers. I have seen many at small resterants. I have just one of coors light and say f'm. I also have a Pepsi machine with bud light and miller light for the others. With three you can have one dark one leaded and one regular. Just an idea

It will hold a 1/2 barrel or a 1/4 barrel. A 1/2 barrel is a "keg".
A 1/2 barrel holds 15 gallons or 1920 oz. and a 1/4 barrel holds 7.75 gallons or 992 oz.
There are 120 16oz beers in a 1/2 barrel (more with the heads), and 62 beers in a 1/4 keg.
You should be able to get 2 weeks out of a barrel WITHOUT CO2. If you can't drink 120 beers in 2 weeks you need new friends. :D

We aren't quite this Hi-Tech out here in the sticks,, We converted an older refirigerator into one. This way we have the freezer section to use for meat and such and there is still room in the fridge for other types of "road beers", soda pop, or other items....

We have ours for over a year now. Wife bought it for Memorial last year as an early Father's Day present. Works really well. The keg thing isn't a hassle as we have a BevMo close by. The C02 deal isn't a hassle either, any welding supply could help you out. Ours is a Viking and if you want to know the price PM the Mrs. because she won't tell me. We have a freezer in the garage where all the frosty mugs are kept. BTW we never had a keg go flat on us :D

I was just at Costco and saw it there again.
A co-worker of mine bought one and she and her husband have been drinking beer like it's water. They know their liquor store owner real well (where they get their kegs) and they've been going through a lot of beer (especially during NFL season). Like someone else said, get ready to gain some weight :D

HCS- Thanks for the compliments. I have had it all summer now and love having it. You will not regret it. I got my setup here (http://www.saddlebackbrewery.com/DraftEquip.html) and found them to be very reasonable compared to some of the other vendors. PM me if you have any questions and I would be glad to give you my thoughts.

This is where I just picked up ours.. we went with the twin tapper and it will hold 1- 1/2 barrel, 1-1/4 barrel (pony), 2-1/4 barrel (slim) and 2-1/6 barrel or a combo or 1 slim and one 1/6 barrel.. comes with the 5 lb Co2 and they charged it for me, set the psi at 10lbs and no Co2 headaches and it last for approx 8-10 1/2 barrels..... also, wasn't in stock at the shop and they delivered it to Whittier, no charge. The guys lives in HB so you're local for them.. great people and they also brew their own line... Good Luck.

The only issue you'll have is getting kegs in Utah,, they are illegal to have or purchase unless you have a liquor license. Another reason we don't live there anymore
