Who is the best to do annual service on Mercury 525's and XR drives in Havasu?

If they are still under warranty use a certified merc. shop. Get on their website and you can look to see who is and who isn't.

Gary's Auto and Marine on Lake Havasu Ave. is one of the best and is certified by Mercury. They are expensive but you get what you pay for and warranty issues are covered by Mercury. Good luck, Nick

I only take my boat to Aaron at Absolute. Tell him you're from HB and he'll probably do it for free. :D
I will second that Aaron is a great guy ;)

Geordie.....
Aaron will tell you to take it to Doug at ALCO for the Merc stuff at this time.....
Aaron will be a Merc certified shop when the NEW shop opens and they have a line of boats for sale.....
All new Merc shops must have a boat line for sale....
Aaron is going to rep a ski boat line to get the cert.....
Later,
CJG
:D

thanks for the info. Warranty is over, only 12 months with the 525's. Just need an oil change and drive service.

They will schedule you in and have it done when they say they will. Good folks and they have a test tank, all the merc tools and diagnostic equipment.

Went there once, will NEVER go back even though Doug tried to make things right. Problem was, it took three trips. AND that was for a simple 20hr service! Good thing I had two motors cause they didn't fill one drive up!
And they somehow screwed up the trim indicators - then when they tried to fix them they weren't synch'd. And they didn't bother to put a nut back on one end of the tiebar
Heard good things about ALCO, but I haven't seen them!

Go see Aaron at Absolute. It doesn't matter that he doesn't have his Merc cert yet. If you are just having service done. You need the Merc cert for warranty work is all. If my chevy needs an oil change I go to Wal-mart for a $30 dollar synthetic job but if there is warranty work it goes to the dealer. You will not find better boat service in Havasu. If your worried that much about the cert then just wait the 4 weeks till it's all done with.

Chongs Marine in Havasu is authorized to work on Mercs. His name is Jim and has done good for me. I was impressed with him.
