Planning to launch out of Cottonwood later this week and try the northern part of Mohave. Any suggestions on points of interest, good coves and beaches, bad spots to avoid. You know - the usual intel!
Thanks

There are some hot springs up there somewhere. I dunno where, but JBR and RTJas do....

Hot springs at mile 62. Be careful tieing up. There is a fast current. You could come back from the hot springs and your rig could be half way to Willow beach. If anyone in you party has had too much booze, it's good to toss them over the side at Willow. Water temp is 53 year round. That'll wake em right up.

Just got back from cottonwood. Lots of fun, over the weekend there was no waiting in line to launch!! We stayed at mile marker 30 on the left side. Nice sandy beach. Hug the left side of the lake once you see the 30mile marker and there is a cove there. We went down to willow and jumped out into the water. Freezing but refreshing. The current is strong right after willow. Do not turn your boat off if you are close to any rocks, you will drift so quick you wont even know what to do. Have fun!!

If you go north past willow and the hatchery be careful and alert around the canyon walls. Lots of shallow rocks and huge boulders up closer to hoover.
