It's time for brakes on my Expedition. Looking at ceramic pads but I just came across a webb site that does not recomend them for towing.
Opinions?
Thanks

Ceramic pads dissipate heat nicely...but are very hard on rotors.

I just put some on 5K ago. As you can see, I tow with it. No problems. I don't see what towing would have to do with it. The trailer has brakes, right?

I don't see why it would matter either. I just read that on a parts house web site so I thought I would ask. They also didn't explain why. Yes, trailor has brakes.

Slapped a set on the front yesterday. They are great so far. Quietest and smoothest my brakes have ever been.

Ceramics are much easier on rotors than metallics (OEM on our truck) ... Just put some high end ceramics all the way around on our '01 SuperCrew 4x4 (used to tow our drag boat) and am quite happy with them.
