I'm using LimeWire and haven't had anyone knock on my door yet...

i went ahead and signed up on napster.. its like $9.95 a month.. they do want to charge you extra for some downloads usually .99.. and for burning music. but if you have an ipod you can transfer it there for no additional money.. then take it from there to your comp and burn it on a cd.

I-Tunes....the ipod is great....plugs into my car and my boat....sounds great.
$.99 per song....pay the dough and don't worry about it.
Napster and the rest put a bunch of spyware and/or adware on your computer.
my 99 cents worth......

if you really want to get all the music you want get a program called irc and connect to a network.. you get the whole cd with no viruses no spywear no nothing. its alot safer than useing a p2p site were the goverment can track you down and slap you with fines..its not an easy to use program but once you figure it out you can get anything and some is out before it is in stores. there is a website you can search for what you want and it tells you what network its on..

We've been using Realrhapsody
You can't get the rare or bootleg stuff but no spam and you only pay .99 per song if you want to burn to cd

Yup, been using Rhapsody for over a year. Kinda like having an unlimited radio, that you control, at your disposal. I believe you can sign up for FREE right now, and listen to as much music as you like for free...so that's a pretty good deal.
I agree, not rare stuff on there - but then again, nothing compares to the orginal napster. I've used Limewire, Kazaa and the new napster (and obviously the old version), but I'm digging on Rhapsody.
Aol music is another cool site for videos and music - and no, you don't have to be a member.
I just found that one when watching Live8 :hammer2: :hammer2:

I have not noticed any spyware problems with Limewire. But it does have some good porno.
