I just want to thank the peeps who watched what went down in the Moabi channel today and had my back while I was still walking on a cane with a fracture foot. Props to Joe for taking those suckers punches for me, to Sandbar Mike and Scully for helping out and to the girls for trying to de-fuse the situation. You're never to old to learn who your friends are :D I am also glad we got to entertain the other peeps watching....props to you for NOT getting involved.

Our dealio was probably an honest mistake. We left to get breakfast at Topock, we knocked down the easy up and hid the sand spike under a chair etc. When we got back, our stuff was 20 yards down the beach and these guys were settin' it up like it was their own. While Dan, Paul and I were trying to figure out how to best approach the situation, my wife was truckin' over there sayin' " HEY! THAT'S OUR STUFF! " Funny shiat! Being she's 4' 11" and this fella was an easy 6'6" and plenty big. He said, "No it's not" Then she started pointing out Dan's baby stuff and his GF's clothes. Then they kinda laughed and said that they thought it was their freind's stuff that had been left behind the night before. We hung out next to them for the rest of the day with no problems. What a trip that was. I don't know if I totally buy their story, but I guess if I was gonna jack somebody's stuff, I would leave with it, not set it up.

Dang sounds like the jerks we encountered on Saturday Forth of July weekend. We set up our camp, put in our anchors. Hung out for a while then took off to the Mini Sandbar. One of the boats came back early with his wife and baby. Our anchors and stuff had been moved and 4 boats took over our camp. And of course all 15 of the idiots were ready to fight the one guy. NICE. All I can say is Karma. Their time will come. :yuk:

It took Scully and Sandbar Mike to push off my boat to get us out of there. Peanut was the lucky one, we left her home with my son because of the heat. All in all the girls had a great time......

These peeps are friends of my friend...I do not know them but a few are local high desert peeps. Infact, the incigator (sp) is also friends with my other friend who owns "On the go Audio" in Herperia. I already talked to him for names but he started to play stupid with me. As many of you guys know I have been advertising his Hesperia shop all summer long to help get the word out for his business.........Maybe it is time to peel his 4 foot sticker off my boat....loyalty only goes so far :hammerhea It was just an unfortunate situation with ALOT of acohol involve and a VERY hot day. I am just thankful no one was really hurt. If Sandbar Mike and Scully didn't push my boat off the beach to divert my attention it might of had a different ending.

There were a bunch of those guys at Kokamos Fri night. A much larger altercation than the one at Moabi.

I'm very sorry to hear of the trouble that all of you had out there. MY wife and I go out there about once a month to play and stay at a friends place. We were out there on the 4th and had a great time. I hate trouble makers. I've been talking this place up for a while and haven't seen much trouble before. The beach is so big I coan't believe the nerve of some people. We'll always have the backs to good people.

Hey i have a shaved head, however i am not an a@#hole. I still did not get the whole story, i would like to know what happened. Regardless of the fact, people like that are dicks and eventually what comes around goes around. That is all i can say. You would think that you would want to make friends out there not enemys. The river is a big place and the word gets around real quick as to what goes on out there. People should think before taking certain actions that can create conflict.

Funny you say that I was 7-10 boats away watching, thought about going over a few times as the situation would stop, then get started again. Flash backs kept me from going over. :hammer2: Seemed like every one got a way with out any serious injuries.

Ok, this is going to be a long story.......
As we were coming into the channel (Moabi) some friends of mine (Russ/Erin) were on the beach and flagged us in. They intro us to their group already on the beach and the afternoon went well. Dan (aka Dicudmore) and his group came over to say Hello, Sandbar Mike and Scully came pulling up and a few other peeps I think from the boards. Later in the afternoon my buddy Russ (who is normally a pretty relaxed partier) starts dancing on the beach. I'm thinking I have some pics of Erin and Russ on my web site but nothing like Russ dancing so I asked my gf to get my camera out of my boat and I preceded to walk to the other side of the dancing (1 boat over) to get better lighting on the pic (late afternoon) while walking over Kelly (wife of the insigator) stops me and says no pics of her husband because (He is a professional, professional what I do not know but looking at this group it was more like a few warrants for his arrest) so I informed her that I was going to take a pic of my buddy Russ dancing. She seemed ok with that but stressed no pics of hubby, then another lady comes running up and grabs my camera and breaks the lens shade and try's to take my camera from me yelling the hold time that I am a "Poperocy"(sp) and I just want a pic for my "Porn" site and something about her 14yr old daughter who was just as drunk as the group stumbling around ( I wish I had pics of her 14yr old daughter, she was cute). I then yanked my camera out of her control and the next thing I knew I had 4 guys on me. Joe, (good friend on my boat) see's what is happening and comes running to help. 6 other guys jump on him taking sucker punches on him...meantime the rest of the girls on my boat are trying to call 911 but we all know what kind of reception we get at Park Moabi and the rest was alot of yelling, pushing and alot of cheap shots to the back of heads. eventually things calm down and me and the original guy talk/shake hands and I thought things were cool until Baby Sawsquach(sp) comes running over with a much bigger attitude and things start up again. At that time I am told Sandbar Mike and Scully push my boat off the beach since the fight is now chest high in water behind my boat. Realizing my boat was afloat I get my gf and Joe into the boat (what a girl ! ! ! she was trying her best to hold me back..she loves me :D ) and everything was cool afterwards... Mike loaded his peeps and we left.
and NO ! ! ! I was NOT drinking :frown: I was sober as usual when I have guess aboard...

On another note good to see you guys made it out with only bruised egos. If I were you I'd find out who these people are and at least charge them for the broken camera....you can go to peoples court or Judge Mathis! :D

Since you and I have not personally met, we could not tell who was in your crew and who was not from our view point. I am sad to say my role as peace maker in these types of situations got ruined from my sucker punch experiance at the SC/UCLA game. If I am in the middle of it to begin with and I know what exaclty is going on, that is a different story.

Wow thats sad to hear that only 2 peeps from the board helped out on a 10 on 4 altercation especially since it sounds like it ended up in the water where someone could easily get killed. Scully is cool he had my back last year in a 20 on 3 altercation hes definitly one to help out.
On another note good to see you guys made it out with only bruised egos. If I were you I'd find out who these people are and at least charge them for the broken camera....you can go to peoples court or Judge Mathis! :D

Unfortunately Havasu is quickly becoming a melting pot for trouble makers. I have several friends or more so former friends that go out there almost every weekend and keep track of the number of fights they get in to. They keep score cards all weekend. Needless to say these guys don't get invited on my boat.
Personally I go to the river to relax, have a few beers, and get away from all the BS drama at home. With the way things are getting out there now you can expect MORE drama then you will at home.
If I had the money I'd buy a bigger boat and the ocean would be my ONLY play ground. I'm actually considering selling the boat and calling it quits on the whole damn thing until I can afford to get something to run in the ocean.

I got tired of all of the drama and bs at the river and did just that. I sold all of my river stuff and went offshore. I don't regret it one bit. I love driving 15 minutes not 6 hours. And just the whole driving my boat deal. i put at least 40-60 miles or more on my boat everytime I take it out. That is a lot more then I ever did with my DCB in Parker or Havasu. The river is a very neat place but it will never be what it was when I was kid. I am only 31 so I am no old timer but in my mind it has changed a lot since the 80's. When I had my DCB and before I was going to the river every other weekend and sometimes more. I took my DCB to Parker/Havasu one weekend last year and said "we are going to buy a house in Havasu or stop going" my wife said okay. We went we ran Parker all day Friday and Havasu all day Saturday. When I pulled my boat on Saturday at Havasu Springs I said "well it's been fun" and she said "that's it?" I said yep, that's it. We have been back once since then for the Poker Run. It's fun just not for me anymore. I love running the ocean now.

First off: Dave thanks for all the kind words but really it was no big deal.
Second off: one person got hit it was daves friend Joe and talking to him after he was in no pain infact the guy hit him in the back of the head that hurts hands more.
Third off: the worst part of the day wasn't @ park moabi it was on the way back when sandbar Mike looks over@ me after his motor went SNAP!!!!.I saw him starting to bring down the throttle when the motor went snap, crackle and Pop. so i reached over and turned the key off before things got worse. Then party central pontoon shows up and ask if we need a tow. Mike asked them what they were doing the rest of the day and they said towing us in.Very cool people to say the least.
Fourth off: when we get to the marina there is fifty boats waiting to get out so the guy driving the pontoon says thats it he can't go any further we jump in and swim it the rest of the way 150 feet or so get it on the trailer and all was good.
Fifth off : Mike thanks for the super action packed day at the lake compared to my normal boring no fighting , no towing, and no long distance swimming. J/K Hope all is good with the motor.

Had this encounter gone even worse and a gun pulled and used to get back at instead of get out of it then it could have gotten ugly real quick. I hate to tell you this, but it's happening everywhere. Bear with me, this is a bit long. We made a family run to Parker over the last 3 day weekend. Stayed with friends at a "family park" that does NOT allow camping on the S half of the strip. A neighbor takes his wife out across the road in a newly bought Jeep just before dark for some fun. Evidently the Raiders fan in the Ranger behind them thought they took too much time to put on their 5 point belts and started giving them grief. They smiled, waved and drove up a hill the ranger couldn't pull. One half hour later they come back out of the dirt and find the Ranger driver waiting for them. 2 on one, Jeep driver and wife versus these jacka$$es. He comes back to his trailer hot and the Ranger is right behind them. Both guys una$$ the Ranger and go after the Jeep driver. I get ahold of the passenger as this happens right in front of us (20+ peeps), and tell him man on man, or everybody is in. Lotsa talk and no action so it's 1 on 1. Ranger driver gets his a$$ kicked, and while I am trying to console my 4 y/o daughter who is very upset seeing this happen right in front of the house, he goes back to his truck and gets a knife. Big knife. I see this knife go by my chest about an inch away as he takes a swipe at me, heading for the Jeep driver, again. Jeep driver scoops gravel off the road and the knife guy never gets a good shot at him. Everyone is yelling, scene is a mess and both Ranger guys decide to leave. I walk behind their truck and get the tag. They are staying in the same park as us! Sheriff is called, shows 45 mins later, tells complaintant that they are drunk and prol'ly had it coming?!! I golfed with a pair of co-workers ONCE, who enjoyed starting trouble on the course. Granted, we got hit up on 3 times on one hole, but these guys stormed down there and threatened the next group. They could easily back their shit up too! Well it turned out ok, but I asked if they liked to do that, they said "yeah, it adds to the game to get your adrenaline flowing."

This does NOT read as if you typed this (structure wise) but you give me a call when you wake up...there are a few things that should not be aired out on this forum....I never once bad mouth ON the go Audio or your capabilities of your professionalism. I may have questioned your loyalties.
