View Full Version : Ghetto truck???

Newcastle

So here's the deal. I ordered a 6" lift for my truck, but they gave me the wrong wheels. I got 33" instead of 35", and they gave me rims I didn't want. Said they'd gimme a killer deal on 'em, but I thought they looked ghetto. What's the concensus? Should I have just kept this setup?
I decided to hold out for the wheels I actually ordered, so I'm stuck with this til they come in. I think they look kinda ghetto...

I agree...that's what I meant by ghetto. Too short and wide. I paid for 35x17x12.5's in a different rim and they stuck me with 33x18x13.5's...not that the rims look ghetto, but the combo of the short tires look ghetto with the truck. Seems like there's too much of a gap between the tire and wheel well.
Look at how wide they stick out on the sides...

I think the truck looks good Im still undecided on the wheels I want but definatley going chrome as they are easier to keep clean. Does it fit in the garage with the lift on it???
Also have you towed with it since its been lifted and did it get gutless??

Haven't towed anything yet. Nope, won't get in the garage with these on, so definitely not with the 35's on.

Damn cc...you had to do it, huh?
I'm very familiar with the Motometal 951's. Those are the exact wheel I wanted and ordered for my truck. When the shop determined I needed 18's on mine, but the 951's don't come in 18, they stuck me with what's on it now. So, the wheels you have kick arse in my opinion, so actually I'm still settling for the Helo's.

I agree, lowering does look even more ghetto...especially those who lower 4x4's. Just doesn't make sense to me. IMHO, this now looks ghetto as opposed to looking balanced. If you're gonna lift a truck, it's gotta have the right size tires, wheels, and lift (wheel well space), otherwise it looks like you went cheap and didn't want to the buy the right size wheels.
