Pahrump is pretty far from mead. That's like saying i'll be in Banning and want to stop by Huntington Beach.
There are lots of casino/resorts off of Mead blvd as you head east. Just watch your stuff. Lot's of dirtbags out at night looking for stereo stuff.

If you want seclusion, Temple Bar.

There are sevral places to launch depending where you want to be on the lake. Hemingway Harbor and Lake Mead Marina by Boulder City are good, however Lake Mead Marina is a little shallow, so be careful. Calville and Echo Bay are good to launch as well.
If you are going to stay in Boulder City go for the LightHouse Inn, decent price $80-$90 per night and okay rooms, clean however not the Bellagio. Another good spot to stay is the Fiesta in Henderson on Lake Mead Drive great amenities as far as resturants and gaming and only about 20 minutes to the lake.
Have a great time Mead is great this time of year.

Jay try temple bar or echo bay. The basin out by temple bar (Gregg basin?) is nice, some sandy beaches too. Very quiet up there...
Not a ripple on the whole basin last time I was there, rest of the lake was a little blown out :jawdrop:

I just bought a 4 bedroom house in Henderson. May be willing to trade a room for the weekend in exchange for boat ride!

My favorite hotel/casino near Mead is the Hacienda, used to be the Gold Strike before it burned down in about 99, I think. Its the road that crossed the dam, and its minutes from the Lake Mead Marina and Heminway Harbor launches. Haven't been there in a few years but its nice enough. You go through Boulder to get there.

Be cautious ..stayed at the Hacienda in May, and its a dump..the rooms were filthy and they even gave us a romm someone else was asleep in!!! go figure. Try the Light house inn. Good luck.
