I found a Shockwave 21' step-skier(2000)454 mag. EFI,Bravo1 outdrive,77 total hrs. for $28,000.Seems a little high priced to me,what should I expect to pay for a boat like this in excellent cond.?Is Shockwave a good quality custom?I am not necessarily sold on this brand but want this style of boat.Any info sure would help.

That sounds like a really nice deal. New that is in the area of 55K++ NADA is always low so to buy under NADA is a steal - usually. I'd have it checked-out to be sure the condition.
I looked at a few Shockwaves and the jets were more than that in a simalar year. I ended up with a LAvey. Check hot boat and powerboat for reviews both have high marks for that boat. You better hope it is still there now that you posted it :D :D I'd buy it and resell it in the spring for 35K

I just sold mine for alot more than that. Shockwave is a great boat and holds its value. 28 K seems very reasonable.
a new one will cost you 50K.....
Dont trust NADA, it says my boat (CURRENT) is only worth 100K... Its off by 50k

21's are a dime a dozen offer 25,000.00 and show him the N.A.D.A. guide prices. It is only worth what someone will pay for it. Cash talks. No matter what you spend on a boat brand new, just like a car it will depresiate as soon as it hits the water. Good luck

I agree, a boat (or anything for that matter) is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. I saw a boat for sale the other day that prob. cost 120K to build and buy new and I wouldn't have bought it for any price. (green and purple gel coat with the trendy tribal design) No thanks. But that boat was obviously worth 120K to someone. It's only worth what the buyer is willing to pay

I just sold my 2002 Step Skier this year to get Shockwave's 25 Tremor. My step skier was a very solid and well built 21ft. It handles the chop very well and sits nice on the water. They build a good boat.................you won't be sorry if you go with them. 77 hours if also pretty low for a 5 year old boat so that may be why the price is on the high end....good luck!

That price sounds a little low to me. I sold a 98 Shockwave 21LS jet boat for 24.5K with 365 hours on it a few years back (it was 5 yrs old then). Upsized to a 25 Tremor. My experience with Shockwave has been great. They build a solid, excellent performing, tightly rigged boat. And their service before and after the sale is top notch.
