Paging anyone who does Dry Wall.

I just got a quote of $2700.00 to dry wall my room addition, it's a 408 sf Family room down stairs. The quote is for approx 36-40 sheets of 5/8 board (throughout), 6-8 sheets of sound board, and knock down texture to match existing interior.
Is it me, or does this sound right? It's been a long time since I had to hire someone to Dry Wall.

I hope it's not a dude named Curt Miller (C.M.I. Interiors). If so, stay the hell away. Guy's nice, but a nightmare. Don't know if he's just having a tough time in his life right now, but 3 months ago, he made mine and my family's life hell. Get strong refs on whoever you decide you like. Good luck.
