Willie, It wasn't 100% last night more like 80%. We (at Dryden) were 110% due to the weather on the East coast and the amount of time they had left aloft. I'm damn glad it made it down safe! Do we live in the best F'n country or WHAT!!!!!!! Just alittle pride people sorry for the rant, just let me add ..................Take that Rutan!!!!!!!!!! :D
P.S. right above the "D" in the first picture you see a little bit of stuff that looks like cotton sticking out, Thats what they were troubled with.. looks like it had no problem on the re-entry :D

Awesome pics, and thanks to everybody involved in that operation.
I got hooked on NASA TV for the past couple of weeks.
Those people are without a doubt at the pointy-end of the spear of human exploration. Proud of all of them, and very proud to see the Stars and Stripes on that machine.

True, but what would you expect after a 5,000,000 mile trip through all types of weather? LOL

Wackenhut? They're pretty lame around our facility as well.

We're pretty good at the non-manned space flight as well and out there technology-wise in that arena also. not as sexy as the Space Shuttle, but still very cool stuff.

It should fly out early week after next or late next week at the earliest. You know Ang and I went to Paso Robles two weeks ago wine tasting right? We brought home a case of wine from various wineries. Come on over and partake :D
