I run 100 octane - 76 pump race gas in my toys. (OK I admit, some has made it into the tank of the S2k).
The slang term for it is "windex" because of it's color.
No doubt, ya really can feel it in my toys that require premium "or higher".
Rumor is that "Trick" brand is simple doctored pump gas,, where VP and some others are genuinely brewed at the refinery as a high octane gas.
What's your take? Waddaya think? Anyone compaired the different brands?

I have a turbocharged sandrail, if I run 91 octane pump gas I have to keep the boost at about 5 lbs. When I splurge and by VP or Sunoco, (usually 110 octane) I run about 15 lbs. of boost. I can definitely tell a difference, especially when the motor gets hot. I have never ran 76, Trick or other race gas so I couldn't tell you about those. VP and Sunoco are good to go!

100 at the pump is just AV gas.
110 is race gas.

Depending on the needs and demands of your motor, high octane fuels are a waste of money and power. High compression, high heat motors need it, but simply putting it into a stock motor costs you.

The higher the octane, the slower the burn.

The higher the octane, the slower the burn.
And once you are safely away from Detonation, more octane is useless.

Exactly and may make less power. Some class racers run very close to the detonation side, b/c it makes more power on the verge of going BOOM!!
I hope you aren't running leaded gas (such as sunoco or av gas for that matter) in your Honda, but I am sure you know that.
