Htm Boats

Why does it seem most hot boaters dont care for the HTM cat?Is there better boats for the money? It seems like a solid boat to me,but there graffix suck!I have seen about 30 or so HTM cats and only 2 had decent graffix on them,the rest look like the pictures my three year old draws.Is the HTM 24 cat worth owning?

Well the owner, designer and cheif fabricator died a few years back in one of their boats doing a high speed run at castaic. They have been struggling ever since.

Good friend just got a 24 ss, Bright yellow with purple. One of the best looking boats I have seen and in runs 95mph with a N/A 540. Very solid boat!

They are very fast for the given HP, but i'll guess 50% of the time when you here about a cat flipping in Parker or Havasu... it's an HTM :frown: :frown:
I'm no expert but that tells me something, as they are no where Near 50% of the cats on the water.
In HTM's deffence, the tend to have more motor in them then the average 496 toting barges out now :yuk: :notam:

Everyone, well almost everyone in here isn't the biggest fan of HTM. I have owned the SR-24 for 3 years and thought it was a great boat. I recently stepped up to a bigger cat but that was in no way because I felt unsafe in the boat, it was just time to get something bigger. It has a Peto blower motor that pushes over 800hp and has always been solid. :D

I had a ss24 with a pro marine 572 750HP NA engine in it, the boat was awesome i think the 24 model has just lost its niche with its size at Havasu. That alone was the only reason i sold it....derek
