Fatal accident in Moorpark

There was a multiple fatality accident in Moorpark today around 1:30pm on west 118. Saw multiple helicopters lifting victims out so I figured it was a bad one. 6 or 7 killed and some were young children. Very sad story.

Just saw that on the news.... looked like someone made a left turn infront of the other vehicle...

I could not imagine the grief and devastation those families are experiencing. It really hits home when its innocent children.

I drive by where the accident happened as I do everyday going to work. This type of accident was bound to happen and if you've ever driven it, you would understand why. When an accident like this happens it always hits home harder when they're children involved. The age ranges of the 5 children who passed away are from 10 years old all the way down to 3 months. I couldn't help but getting a little choked up while driving by today.

from what i saw on the news the van was sitting at a stop sign when a lincoln rear ended it sending it into cross traffic. it killed the entire family.. mom, dad and the kids. its more tragic when you realize that the family in the van were all innocent victims of a careless driver. i couldn't imagine have to sit thru that funeral. :(

There is no stop sign there. If you're making a left, you're basically at the mercy of the other drivers. Unfortunately for this family, the old woman must have not been paying attention.

my heart goes out to that family...I was on my way home from Lopez lake and took the 118 and passed that same way except i was 30-45 mins before the accident...It was weird because I was going to gas up in Ventura but decided to gas up in Simi Valley instead...
