Do all of you guys that take your dogs to the lake use the doggie life jackets. and if so how do the dogs tolerate them.

we have one but never make our dog wear it. She HATES it alot. :supp: :D Hers is the taco style though and last week at the river I saw a dog with a better one on. I need to find her a new one.
What kind of dog?

We do. As soon as we put her jacket on she knows that means she can go swimming and she will jump off whatever side of the boat she can. She likes her vest. She thinks she is a fish when she has it on. We have a deck boat and she will jump off the highest point on the boat just to get into the water. Hope this helps.....

My dogs love em'....this way they don't have to swim that hard, if they get tired they can just relax....http://www2.***boat.com/image_center/data/506/2494P1010007.JPG http://www2.***boat.com/image_center/data/506/2494P1010038.JPG http://www2.***boat.com/image_center/data/506/2494zeusandchico.jpg

Talk about a way to relax! Too cute!
PS: This is the type of vest my dogs have too but I must admit, We don't take them out too often. Pain in the a$$ to clean up the boat after. Hair everywhere. (I'll stop whining now) :hammerhea

My dog loves hers. As was said earlier, it gives her a lot more freedom to jump in and out. Just make sure to keep them wet in there, and you are good to go.
Plus, the handle on top is good to use to assist them swimming to the sandbar.
