you only collect when your fired/laid off they won't pay you when you quit.
I collected 2 checks when I got laid off 2years ago and they made me feel like a criminal during each phone interview.
I received there max check and it was laughable.Made me find a new jop real real quick!!! :rollside:

Its not easy. They just hired a whole bunch of casuals this year. Not sure if it will happen again for a long time. A back door way of getting in is as a mechanic but you gotta "know" someone, if you know what I mean?

The funny thing is, I did this the hard way. Passed a bunch of tests, spent 6 years working as a casual, and I finally got in. I actually have a college education. I sometimes feel like I am getting dumb by working there. :D

Its basically a part time dock worker. They get the work that is left over after all of us are dispatched. Pretty miserable cause you never know when you will egt out. It's very unpredictable.

Whoever asked if one can collect if they are fired . . .
You can always apply upon termination. Your employer can protest if he/she had good cause to fire you -- for example you were late everyday or spent all your time posting on online bulletin boards :eek:
If you still contend that you are deserving, you and former employer both go to unemployment court with a judge. Then the judge decides if you deserve it or not. If you have already received payments, and the judge sides with the former employer, you would have to pay back the amount already received.

Hey girlie!! Well it was nothing major really. A co-worker and I got into an argument over a file, yes a file, she was accusing me of making this file, which I had never seen in my life. It was not a heated argument or anything.....just loud. So the head attorney came out of his office all pissed. They let me go right before lunch. OH WELL!!! I beleive this is a rediculous reason, the attorney I work for did not want them to let me go. Now i have a GREAT job!!! It is not in law, but I will be using my legal background to act as a liason between the company and their outside counsel. I am going to learn so much! More MONEY too!!! It looks like a cool place to work, lots of young peeps!! Hmmm future ***boaters...that is if I can get online there....
