which brand does everyone like for your stereo speakers, looking into upgrading my system, currently just 6 x 6.5" rounds in a 30' boat
was looking at Pioneer and Bazooka because they make 8" round marine speakers, fugured I would gain a little bass with the larger diameter without going to subs for now(may add 1 or 2 anyway later) other than that was thinking the Infinity Kappas I know they're quality!! but they don't go deep!! any other recommendations??? I see a lot of Sony and Clarion around where I am but never considered them a quality speaker

Eclipse 4-way, SE8495. Switch to 6x9s. You'll be happier. :D Have six of them in my 30'
Might even add 2 more!

I would second that. I have been using them in boats for years and have been very satisfied. You dont need to go throught the expense of buying a "marine" speaker for a lake boat. andyou will find the majority of the boats out there are not using "marine" speakers. Whatever you end up getting make sure that it uses poly cones and rubber surrounds and you will be fine. If you must have a "marine" speaker Mb Quart makes one of the best sounding marine Lines.
