I just moved the phoenix area and I am going to Laughlin this weekend. What is the fastest way to get there from the 101 and Price.(Chandler)
Thanks in advance. I tried to mapquest it but it does not look to clear on how to get to the 93 N if that is the best way...

ANd is it highway the whole way. Mapquest says to get off on grand and go through glendale. It seems to me that there would be a bunch of lights going that way.

No, it's called the 303 (I think)... it's way the hell out west, out toward Goodyear and Buckeye, there are signs on the freeway showing the way.
Right now it's only a 2 lane road, so don't be look for a big interchange.
There's a few lights before you get to Hwy 60, but maybe a half dozen or so.

Said the renta car dude told him to go east on the 10 till he saw the sign and turn left!!!!!

From Glendale, take the 101 loop west until you hit Hwy 60 to Wickenburg. Follow it to I-40 westbound. Get off I-40 on exit 48 (Beale St) and go four miles north to Hwy 68 West. This route is 4 lanes wide and 65 mph 90% of the way. Taking I-10 will depost you on California 95, which is two lanes and will take you forever. I've gone both ways 50 times (former OTR trucker) and prefer Hwy 60 hands down.

You can thank my lazy ass buddy for that one. I told him to get to work but he says it is too hot out there to work. He is the asphalt inspector on that job.

Thanks for the help. Is there a sign for Laughlin when you exit the 40 to the 68??

I made that trip once from PHX. All I remember is that I started off on Grand and ended up in Nowhere AZ (real place). I don't remeber the exact route though. All I remember is the T shirt that read: "When you've been Nowhere, you've been everywhere!" Sorry not much help here

I live in vegas and my folks are in Carefree, AZ (north of Scotsdale) so I'm back and forth a lot. I go through Wickenburg cause i think it's a nicer drive. Don't take 60 through the middle of town though. There are 50 million traffic lights and it takes forever. Go farther west on 10 and then cut up on 303. Or you can take 17N (or 101) to highway 74 (across from Carefree highway) which will take you to Wickenburg.

Thanks for the help. Is there a sign for Laughlin when you exit the 40 to the 68??
Huge signs everywhere.Off I-40 west take exit 48(Beale St), turn right. Once you the crest the hill going north there will be a split with signs everywhere. Just stay right and you'll end up crossing under the road you were on and heading west. You'll go through Golden Valley, up a slight hill, down a huge hill and end up at the Laughlin bridge 27 miles from that split. Hang a right across the river and you're here....err...there!!

If you go the 10 west and hit the 72 via Vicksburg be very careful when you hit the stop signs in town. STOP!!!!!!!!, not a cali stop but stop, lol. And watch the speed limit super close through town. I got popped rollin the stop sign and doing 58 in a 35 going by the trailer park............but I told the truth and admited that I f'ed up and he said thanks for being honest, have a great day and took off after a H/D doing the same thing as me. Once you hit the 72 west just haul ass once you get out of town and you a golden............maybe. :)

Wow, you guys take some silly and indirect ways to get where you're going. Guess I'll give you an added bonus for most states traveled. :notam: :D

Hey Cat Snob, errr Jordy,
Do you usually do the 93 thing through Wickenburg??
First time I ever saw your (new) boat was Mohave. It was going slightly faster than idle.... :D :D I believe he was well over the triple digits giving Bling some chit in his Nortech....Was fun to watch.....
Did you pick it up yesterday.........?

Yeppers. I'd take Carefree Highway across through Wickenburg, up to Kingman, then North like I was going to Vegas and follow the signs to Laughlin. That route though Cali and back up and around would add an hour and a half to the trip and it's really not much of a scenic drive that I'd like to spend that extra time looking at. ;)
Did you pick it up yesterday.........?
Nope. They were supposed to have parts yesterday but I still haven't heard anything. :(
