what cars can you think of from your past that weren't "cool" but actually
were alot of fun to drive, and easy to keep up.
I'd have to say my favorite not-cool car was my 1984 Subaru wagon....
It was my very first company car........... until you've driven a suby, you
don't think much of them. they haul ass, we CONSTANTLY beat on them
and never broke down........ speed-shifting, clutchless shifting, 40mph
e-brake 180's at night, etc..........
they just never die.......
what's some others-?

I used to have a 1993 Hyandai Excel 2 door hatchback that was white with pink and green graffix on the sides.
Man! That car was so cool!
I used to drive over curbs and stuff

I had a 1976 164e Volvo. Great car to drive, had a top speed around 130 MPH, it just took three days to get there.

I can't even remember the year, but it was a 4 door pontiac ventura. The car had some kind of Hi perf 350 in it, from the factory. Sucker would break rubber going from 1st to 2nd in a big way.
Damn ugly, though. 4 door and Baby $hit, mustard brown.

I remember my first 180 e-brake turn in my mom's then new 1977 Subaru. It was on dirt, and it was then I found out that the e-brake worked on the front wheels. Freaked me out.

Had a 74 Vega GT without a V-8 that only cost me $200 :p Fun little car to drive as long as you carried oil with ya'! Blew up the motor, found another one. Pulled the motor with a friend and a long 4 X 4. Good little car to use as a parts chaser. Blew it up again and traded it for a set of Cragers for my Buick.

I've had a lot of cars. There have been a few shit boxes that I'll never forget.
1982 Toyota Cressida. Ugly car but it hauled me and my friends to the beach all the time and did so at about 120 mph. The car had an inline 6 in it that put out some pretty good power. Only problem was at 120 the ride of the car ressembled a big floating cadillac. Scary :skull:
1981 F-150. The 302 in it cracked causing water and oil to mix together. I'da have to fill the radiator up with water about 3 times a day and add 2-3 quarts of oil a day. I drove it like that for over a year until I sold it. I use to have that thing completely sideways when entering the 91 from the 71.

Currently I have a 1991 Geo Metro, whrite 2 door hatchback with a three banger and auto trans, it's bitchen. The thing never takes more than twenty bucks to fill up (my v-10 superduty takes 100.00 to fill up) and it will last me all week, it even has AC, which used to work awesome, but now I need to have it re-charged. Oh yeah and it does great e-brake slides

Some of my favorite cars are old boyfriends cars......
the first one was an old jag, convertable, but my boyfriend at the time (Not Scream) was such a dork, he would drive around with a regular house phone in his car, just not hooked up and pretend to talk on it....lol This was during the last 70's.....it was a cool car though
the second car was a Baracuda, so fast, but he exhaust would leak inside the car, (NOT FUN) and my firemen boyfriend at the time was a jerk (not Scream) This was the early 80's
the third car was a 1969 El Camino, beautiful, we restored it (my first husband and I) Put snaps all along the bed and painted it pearl white...but he died (not Scream) This was the mid 80's
Now Scream had a pretty cool Pinto I heard about, never actually saw it....he had to share it with his sister who was forever breaking parts off the car lol

I had a 1968 Opel Kadedt. :jawdrop:
I had to do something to it so I lifted the front end up super high so it had the "gasser stance". lol Some home made moon disk and it..... well it still looked focked up. lol
About the only good thing about it was I could do the round trip from our house to the family lake house for under 5 bucks in gas. Hey, that was over 4 hours of driving!
Oh, it did ok in the corn / bean fields too.

Now another car I had was a 1960 Kingswood Chevy station wagon. It was flat black with black tinted windows. Had some vintage Americans on it with a 348 under the hood. That car was a pretty cool old ride.
Thing had 3 bench seats, never had seat belts ever, and a bad ass metal dash. I guess if ya wrecked it they would just wipe the blood of the dash and sell it to the next guy! I do kinda miss that car.

My first car was a 71 Vega with a 4cyl/4spd. My Army Basic Training money paid for it. It was a blast to drive! Took it off roading back by "P" Mountain and bumped a boulder with the oil pan. The way it happened, it sealed it up. It was Tan/Primer Gray.

'86 Yugo!!!!! Missing passenger seat so the person in back had some room. Plexiglass side wind wing windows to replace the busted ones. Speedo was broken - hit a top speed of 81mph on the 22 fwy being followed by my brother to verify the speed. Carb took a crap. Had to rebuild it with all hand made gaskets - yeah, the local Kragen didn't exactly have a bunch of parts on hand. The best thing was that it fit perfectly on the sidewalk. Parking was never a problem! Oh, and it had a rally sequential shift trans in it...... or did I just bang gears without the clutch! Either way, funny sh!t.

In High School (1975ish) I had a 66' Corvair Corsa Turbo. Paid about $800 for it. G-60 14s recaps on Ralley wheels. A blast to drive......especialy in the rain, sprint car style, turn right to go left! Thanks to Ralph Nader you could get the good ones (65'-69') for almost nothing. Their back bumpers would never rust...there was always to much oil on them. Wish I had it now.

I am laughing as I had one of those...exact color and everything...except a 2 door. I put buckets in it from a trans am, and the rear fenders were cut out (I didn't do that)....350 BB...the thing hauled some serious A$$....got it when i was 12...it only had reverse, so until I found a transmission to swap, I ripped around in reverse.....keep in mind I grew up on the farm...
I loved that thing

1970 green with green interior Dodge Dart with a slant 6. I'd give my left nut to have that car back. Didn't realize how cool it was until much later in life.

That's funny, we almost have the same thing, My wife was driving our V-10 Super Duty to work, sucking the gas big time. Friend sold us a '97 Geo Metro with 40,000 miles for 4 grand. that puppy goes all week and than some on a fill up. And it has the big motor, a 4 banger :D

1959 Vauxhall Victor Wagon....It had Vega GT wheels and looked like a miniature primered 57 chevy wagon...... I think I pushed the thing more miles than I drove it and the brakes weren't very good either, so on a couple of occasions I had to have my buddies stick a foot out of all four doors and drag our feet to stop it (seriously) It only did about 40. I drove it to Newport Beach and a guy saw it and hadta have it (I got $150 for it) and my family was so happy to hear I had a buyer that they happily drove from Arcadia to pick me up.....
Other uncool rides? I've had a Chevy sprint and two Metros.... I really hate the idea of foriegn, front-wheel-drive crap, but at $3 a gallon, I can't afford to get around in my mid-70's dually and Burb. The Metro is actually kinda fun and irreverent though and I just consider it a 80 mph, air conditioned golf cart!

In high school I had a 41 Ford Coupe with a worked SBC and a 4 speed in it, neat car.
The body got traded for a 62 Nova and the engine replaced the stock 6 cyl.
The Nova I should have kept, the 41 was pretty crude!!!
The Nova ran mid 12's not too bad for a street car!!
