today's San Diego Union Tribune? There's an article on Knight and Carver's new "M-Hull" . The graph they use to display the bottom looks remarkably similar to Wes's boat...
Anyone see it and think the same thing?
Maybe Wes tought them guys to think outside the box, eh? :)

That would be highly unethical, and would never be considered in the boat building business. :D

Thanks for the concern, but the bottom of that thing is wild. It's primary concern is to "eat" it's own wake to leave less wake. It's primary uses are in a tactical military application where your wake could give you away, and as a ferry boat in canals such as Venice where your wake could do damage.
The bottom, while a tri-hull of sorts is actually nothing like ours. Very little buoyancy is created by the tunnels... mostly a blocker for the bow wave to act off of. Allegedly, it helps create a little lift as well.
Mangia Onda of Italy designed the hull. The prototype they had down there while building the Revolution was very nice as well.
For those paying attention BTW... the boat is 40 feet wide and 80 feet long!
