Finally saying hi after lurking for 5 years or so.
Special hi to the Lavey owners on site, I see most of the west cost boats stay near home, but a few made east. I'm in Indiana with a 91 Sebring outboard.
Currently rigged with a Bridgeport, it was the only 20.8 Sebring built for twins.
And yes, it hauled.
Anyway, great site.
Thanks,
Bill

Thanks everyone.
No, been reading at work, limited my cyber time until I had service at home.
(Now on at work anyway, but keep it quiet)
Bajamike,
I know that your outboard section is not real busy, but I think you're pulling my leg!

I tried to post a picture with my first post, but it said invalid.
It was a small jpeg that works on other sites, Oh well, I'll try later.

Since you claim you were lurking for (5) years, what is the oldest memory of the boards you can recollect? With this info, we can see how far back you go.
...welcome!!

Quite the welcoming committee.
Thanks!
For some reason I can't post the pictures again.
After the upload option I get an invalid file type message.
Oh well, if someone can add them here I'll e-mail them to you.
Simple,
My memory is slipping, but I do remember Havasu Dreamin' started a thread of all outboard boat pictures and he added my boat to the thread. It must have been the summer of 02.
Also I watched your classifieds and perf evaluations for some time before I bought my Lavey in 01.
I also have a copy of the ***boat Sebring test that was avail. on the site some time back. I can't find it here anymore.
(Hope I pass your test)
Mike,
A Sebring is Laveycraft's 20.8 with a mod vp style hull. Not the most popular around, but I've found it to be a good all around performer. The Bridgeport is Mercury's 2.4 hi perf offering from the early 90's. Called BP because the cyl. ports are so big that a divider (bridge) splits the port to prevent the piston rings from hanging up on the edge of the opening.
Oh yea, twins, as in two motors. Original owner had it running 8300 rpm with 32" cleavers. Probably in the 115 range. I don't know of a faster Lavey 'cept for the race boats.
Might return it to the 2x rigging someday.
