With 900 people + 240 cars it runs 55mph...that's some serious power!
I rode the high speed cat from Seatle to Victoria. Much small that this beast, but still have 2-300 people of board and was running in the 60's if I remember right. I spend most of the 2 hour trip on a little deck on the back of the boat in awe of the roosters and roar of the turbines.
Make you wonder what those boats would run unloaded and with a prop change...
