I have a team trying to sell me really hard on the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series.
I sponsored a team about 8 years back, the #2 Ultra truck, but that was just a little sticker on the truck, no bigh deal.
I have an offer that seems fairly reasonable, at least a heck of a lot more reasonable than the Nextel Cup guy called me about 6 months ago... He wanted $6-$8 million :2purples:
Anyways, I feel the deal is getting closer to fair, but wondering what or if anyone has done this as a main title sponsor (entire truck) or associate sponsor (sides and tailgate of truck)?
Any info would be appreciated.

With the truck series being as competative as it is i would also think that one of the most important factors would also be what team is it. Becouse as you know the better the team the more exposure you will get. Plus the driver, does he have a huge fan base or is he middle of the road or a nobody. Plus would there team be a good representative of your buisness. Example (Michael Waltrip & Napa) That guy is a Napa PIMP and they are reaping the bennafits from that deal. What team and driver is it that you are looking at? :D :D

I don't think it is a major driver in the series. I had never heard of him.
I don't think I need him to win. It seems that the wrecks get more coverage, so as long as he starts a major pileup and flips every week, I'll have exposure on the race itself and every news station across the country. Not only that, but we get Sportscenter coverage.... da da daaaa

Craftsman Trucks is a speedvision deal. No more sportscenter. All im sayin is if he is a good driver and runs up front alot then you would get more exposure for your money....

I know, just the sportscenter thing was more like a highlight thing. Major wrecks always gets coverage.

Yeah, no sh*t, that is more what I could afford :D . The least expensive option is on the lower part of the sides.
Here is a breakdown in $$
The entire truck all year... $4.2 mil. Ummm, so yeah, that isn't going to happen.
Then they went down to $500k, for the sides only for all season, and now the latest is $100k for the rear section and post of the truck. The rear section is where the most room is on the sides because of the big ass # anyways.
If I hold out another 2 weeks or so, hell maybe they will pay me at this rate to sponsor the truck.
