hey bobby, yea I would say about $50mil was a very conservitive number last night on McCulloch, oh yea most of these car cost way more than boats, and hot rods are a CASH DEAL. no credit and 10-20yr loans going on here...these are the REAL BALLERS!!!, I will bet a easy $2-3mill (CASH) changes hands this weekend on the golf course

you would be correct on that,the money flow at the goodguys del mar show is truely amazing,Ive seen suitcases full of cash being handed over.These guys know what they want and what it will cost.My wifes family friend sold a cabriolet last year at the show,it wasnt even for sale.The guy offered 100k,they said no,125 and they may think about it,next day the guy showed up,125k in cash,he drove it home to vegas :coffeycup

I saw 2 cars change hands last night, pontiac sedan delivery $90k (cash) spotless car, and a 32 ford 5 window at ($140k), saw a for sale sign on a Falcon just like mine but 15" rims and not near the motor or suspension I have, he was asking $25k :eek: good god!!!! another 5 yrs or so and I might actually be able to get the $60k I have in mine back out of it :hammerhea

yup noticed the same thing myself (culture/class of people), I was having a blast (my kinda crowd) even Hot Boat mag had a top end Sales rep at the show...did you know HB has a Magizine :wink:

we just got home and it was a great weekend.. i left the boat at home this time... but the weather and the look of the lake made me wish i had taken it, still we had a blast.. saturday and sunday afternoon we went to the park by the channel and let the kids play while we sat on the benches and watched the boats cruise by.

At that point I took one of the cars to CA and left the 442 as a cool driver. So is this true? BTW I had a great time at the Parker show and met some cool peeps.

no there is no requirement for the display on McCulloch, but to Enter the show(as in compete for trophys) the car must be 1959 or older.

Did anyone get any pics of "Blue Ice", one of the winners? Pretty damn cool and all metal too! That heavily-modified, butterscotch-colored roadster that was among Chris' shots caught my eye too!
