I was watching the evening news and El Presidente Vincente Fox feels the destruction in Cozmel and Cancun will take months, even years to overcome. I'm sure he has heard how the good old USA is geared towards hurricane recovery. I have a feeling he will ask us for aid since our rich citizens are the number one contributors to the Yucatan tourism industry.
I say lets be proactive and send several million "trained" workers down to Mexico to handle all repairs, provide meals, clean up the debris, and restore all the landscaping messed up by Wilma. Our workers will speak the language, understand the culture, and work for realtively low wages.
After completion I'm sure we can find it in our hearts to just have them stay on and insure Vincente keeps his new rebuilt areas mowed and weeded. We'll get along just fine over here without them.
We may let him know they don't drive very well and don't like to carry insurance but I suppose he can work something out.
