Long story, let's just say the shutter guy screwed up so I have a few extra shutters.
These are composite shutters and here are the measurements. I have both real wood and composite shutters in my house and I think the composite look better than the real wood.
The price would is $6/sq. ft for the ones listed below. If some of them work, I can get you in touch with a different guy and you can buy more at $16/sq. ft to fishish if you needed a couple more that these didn't fit.
You must pay shipping as well or pick them up from my house. They are heavy. :hammerhea
Your measurements on you window, as long as within 1-2 inches of the measurements below, they will work. This install on the soutside of the window frame (drywall wall) and that allows for the measurement needing to be close within 1-2 inches, not exact.
Here is what I have. 11 total. They are white and new in boxes.

Notice the 3" trim that goes around the entire shutter.

Someone take these things, I am losing some serious $$ on them.
Take all of them for $1800.

My Havasu pad is finished in about a week and I would assume that some of these would fit and I would be very interested.
Let me see if I can get all the window measurements from the builder early on in the week and then we can talk $$

By the way...
These are brand new, never installed, still in the boxes.

I have no idea how to do it either. :D

I own a shutter company. this is a tough situation to work through. if the measurements are correct for your home try the neighbors you might be in luck if your home is not a custom. I would also say ebay would be a good option. $6.00 is a smokin deal someone will score.good luck
84x72 = 42 sqft. = $672.00 = $252.00
72x72 = 36 sqft. = $576.00 = $216.00
60x60 = 25 sqft. = $400.00 = $150.00
54x84 = 31.5sqft = $504.00 = $189.00
54x84 = 31.5sqft = $504.00 = $189.00
72x84 = 42 sqft. = $672.00 = $252.00
72x84 = 42 sqft. = $672.00 = $252.00
54x84 = 31.5 sqft. = $504.00 = $189.00
54x84 = 31.5 sqft. = $504.00 = $189.00
60X84 = 35 sqft. = $560.00 = $210.00
84x84 = 49 sqft. = $784.00 = $294.00
grand total $5872.00 =$2202.00 you save $3670.00

Thanks for the break down. These are off by 6" to all of my neighbors.
If someone buys all of them together, I'll make it $1800.00.
So, $1800, takes them all.
Thanks!!!

I have a couple of questions?
You said that the shutters were 6" off. are you referreing to the width the heighth or both?
6" to big or to small?
If they are 6" to small the panels themselves may be salvadged with some custom frames and a good finish carpenter to install them. I might be able to design some frames and ship them to you.
like i said before this is a difficult situation to work through but there may be a simple solution and you could come out smellin like a rose.

Because these are outside mount shutters, when ordering the shutters from this manufacturer, you are supposed to add 3" to the width and length on each side for the trim (6" total each way). Well I told them the measurements with the 6" added as I was told to do, and they added 6" to my measurements. The new shutters are already here and I have these left over. I appreciate the offer and thank you, but I don't have a use for them.
$1500 takes them all!!!!!!!!!!!

Will you take beer and and naked pictures of my wife in lieu of cash? :D
I need some shutters but I am resisting the irge to measure. I really do not want to have to take advantage of a good deal right now...cash is flowing on a one way direction...the outbound one!
OK...maybe I can measure to find out that they will not work at all and I can feel better...OR...nevermind...babble..babble! :mix:

i was thinking in terms to your neighbors homes.
6" to big may not be much of a problem to deal with.
all you would need to do is a frame extntion on the back of the existing frame for louver clearence.

Dude, go measure. I am in the dealing mood right now, who knows maybe we can work out a sweeter deal.
Sorry though, nothing against the wife, but I like money, and I already have my own (wife that is). :wink:

Are the measurements you listed the measurements for the window opening or the measurements for the actual shutters? In other words, does the 84x84 fit a window that is 84x84 or a window that is 78x78?

Just saw this... sorry.
I still have them :hammer2:
The measurements are the size of the shutters, so your window would need to measure less 5-6 inches from the size of the shutter.
So the 84x84 would fit a 78x78... yes

We might have a few sold! I'll have to get out there this weekend to doulbe check the dimensions.
We have a few windows, that are 72x72 & 60x60, we also have some that are bigger. I can just use the measurements from the wood frame for these right? (thats that stage I am in right now)
PM on the way with my #

its like finding a needle in a hay stack. Why dont you try putting the whole lot on ebay for $49.95 plus shipping no reserve auction. I bet people would bid it up a bit.

I know, but the move to Havasu isn't going to work. With as much as I have to fly, a 2-2.5 hour drive to the airport in Vegas would get old quick. :cry:
