I have a 25' 1982 Eliminator. I have sen it called a couple of things. Offshore 25, Pro-Am 25 or a daycrusier. Anyone know this particular model boat?
If anyone has had one I would love to know what the setup was. How fast etc.
I spoke with Jack at Eliminator but he wasn't sure about boats that old.
Thanks

I know that they had a boat that they called a "Mohave". I'm not sure if that is what you have or not.....

The Mohave has a wierd looking upper deck where the windshield attaches. Thats not a Mohave.

I believe that is a 25 Pro Am Eliminator. Not many around, even in the 80's. With age comes some knowledge
I can't tell for sure, if you had more views of the boat it might help. I was looking to buy one of these back in the late 80's with twin 350's. Usually they were outfitted with some nice power. Anyway, (check on this) I believe they were a Kevlar hull when Kevlar was pretty new to the industry. That could be good or bad if true. The post above is right about the Mohave, they have a odd design where the deck ramps up to the driver area. Post more pics. cool old boat for sure

I don't have any better pics of mine but here are a couple of the same model that was on eBay.
You can look at the whole add on eBay.

I really like the look of the boat. I like how the deck is shaped. Kind of reminds me a an SR-71

The Mohave was ugly even back then. I can't tell if this is one or not from that angle. Never heard of the pro am, must have been very limited. Leach should know

That certainly has the lines of the Pro Am that I remember. Especially looking at it from the side (Bow and front deck). That boat has been modified (didn't read the whole ad sorry) to an open the bow etc. I also remember always seeing them sitting on a triple axel trailer. Again, every one I saw was always well powered, especially for the day. I am sure if you look and ask enough you will get a confirmed answer. Also try some of the dealers around they may have a few knowledgeable people on the old Eliminators.

CD , it looks like the 25 offshore to me . Definately not a Mohave . Contact Spectrabrent on this site , I gave him mags of late 70's & early 80's that have a lot of pictures of eliminators.

Looks stout. I am sure it is quite heavy. Noticing they are pretty much all on 3x trailers. Probably handle any water you could throw at it.

This boat was COMPLETELY redone, everything was new and never put in the water other than to run the motor. Believe it or not it was sold in the 25,000 range, I only wish I was in the market because the pro am is a nice boat, and this one was super clean.

Not sure what opening the bow did to the integrity of the hull and 850HP on a bravo III without hydraulic steering on a 26 year old boat :

Im not sure either, but for 25,000 it sure would be fun finding out. Killer boat I thought! But you know I believe some of those pro am hulls did have open bow, I may be wrong but I thought so and if it did they were more rare than the regular deck pro am. I heard they cut the chop really well and with that kind of power they should run well too. I could see a different drive on it though, but again for 25,000 I thought it was a deal.

It sold on eBay for $28,600.00. I think it was converted to an open bow. I have been thinking of doing the same. It also looks like they did some custom glass work on the stern. There is a "spoiler" that was molded in. I would like to update the dash on mine. And get rid of the Miami Vice paint job.

The guy on e bay seems to know his boat and the ad states it is a Pro Am.
Seems like a no brainer to me.

I wasn't just asking the name. I was also interested in if anyone has owned one. Knew more about it etc.

I may be wrong here but sounds like Jack is a dufus. Sure he may not know off the top of his head but his company made the thing. Unless they had a fire destroying everything they should have records they can look up by the HIN. Everytime someone asks about an Ultra on here then JW asks for the HIN and then gives them info. Like someone else said maybe try and ask Bob Leach himself.
