I went with Monster Tower. http://www.monstertower.com/
They had a far superior product for a lot less price $1195 and that price includes shipping. The tower is collapsable and folds down neatly into the boat for garage storage . You can use the cover that you have already.Depending on the boat and bimini you have you won't be able to use the old bimini unless you install it like I did mine. I called the engineers at Monster and asked if turning the whole rack around would effect the performance or structural integrity. After some quick calculations they came back and gave me a thumbs up. All that is important is getting the rope tie on the top to be within 18 inches of the center tow pylon. This gives the center of gravity the same effect when pulling a skier or boarder. This will save you the cost of a much smaller and $495 Monster Bimini. Send me a PM if you have any install questions. Hope this helps.

I think I am going with one of the Wake Designs Towers. Here is a pic of what it should look like on my boat. This boat is a 2006 model, but my boat is a 1996 model. Pretty close though. I live one block away from them. They said that it would mount and have no problems clearing my bimini. That was the one thing I didn't want to have to buy again.

On my Nautique the only thing that interfers with the bimini is the speakers on the tower. I have to open the bimini before I attach it to the tower. Kind of lame but it is not that bad. We store the bimini behind the motor cover on the floor. I do not know how to post pics, but if you give me your e-mail I could forward a pic of it.

Hello NautiTwins,If you want to post pics in the text field here is the simplest way:
On ***boat.com home page go to image center and register. You can use your same screen name and password.
Once you register you can go to “Members Galleries” at the bottom. You will see near the upper right corner in yellow letters “Upload Photos” Your next screen lets you “Browse” grab the photo from your pc and click open. Scroll down and hit “Upload Submit” button. The photo will now be in your image gallery. Click on the photo you want and click it again to enlarge. Right click on the photo and select properties. Under Address/URL left click and highlight the address, right click and hit copy. Click OK.
In the forum that you are posting a thread to or response to
hit Quote or Reply button the text field comes up. Type in your text and hit the little yellow icon on the tool bar that is under "size" of font button. The pop up will say “Insert Image” another small url screen appears. Right click and Paste. Hit OK. It will insert your photo but you will not see it in the text field until you hit “Preview Post” or Submit Message.
Hope this helps.

No Problemo. Nice boat. There are not a lot of skiers and boarders on these forums or they just don't speak out about their boats. The sandbar seems to me more muscle boats and a whole lot of shouting and arguing. I do get a kick out of some of the posts and people. I have had many boats from Hallet offshore to Ski Centurian. With kids, I enjoy the tow boats the best right now. Take care.

The Phat Budde (PhatTower) has one inside of it. Made to work with it. They can put one on most any boat. They just measure and make it in-house.

Even stores on the tower, so it's out of the way:

I think it all depends on where you hang out. We were at Mcintrye two weeks ago and the water came up way early, so me being all gung ho at 6 am went out for a couple of runs. Got out there and there must have been at least 10 boats (skiers), it was great. We all kind of took up a little part of the river and stayed out of each others way. When we go up river havasu and Park Moabi, it is just big boats, Raider Nation **** heads in jean shorts and all.
We like to just have a quiet weekend away.

It really is not much to do. You do not need the speakers and all.
A tower will run $1000.00 and a bimini I would say between 3-500.

You get what you pay for. A $1000 tower will flex and rattle. Call Gary at www.dbgconcepts.com , he is a good guy and has been building custom towers for years, he has a new tower (that the industry calls the "swoop" tower) that is not shown on his website. Give him a call, he'll let you know all the option for your boat.

Are all your towers made from aluminum? Or do some manufactures use steel?

Starting to see a few stainless, but mostly aluminum.
Stainless tube bending equip is super $$$.
Ya don't want a tower that shakes or rattles, you'll hate it real quick.

Check whether the tower has a subframe.
Decide if you want it to angle back or forward.
Decide how much bimini you need. A normal is about 5-6'. The stock ones on the towers are only 3'.
