Has any one run that stretch of the river lately? any surprises I should know about? how long is the ride?

I wouldn't recommend it this time of year. The water level is generally pretty low which means lots of sandbars all the way from Laughlin almost to Needles. You might get the # for the Davis Dam water report and see what the flow is. Most likely it won't stay up long enough to get down to Havasu and back. I would tow the boat to Topock and launch there.

I agree I made the run from Havasu to Topack last weekend no problem.... I would only run from Laughlin to Havasu with a jet boat, I would even risk it with a prop.

From Laughlin to Havasu.................probably a day and a half........
comming back................
about 45 minutes in the back of a truck :rollside:

I don't know...it would take a lot of beer to keep your ass from freezing off on the way down. One time in the middle of summer I had to pluck two guys out of the river just north of the AVI. They were stoned out of their minds and thought it would be fun to hop in the river at Davis camp and float to the AVI. Needless to say 5 hours later they were still 2 miles from the casino and on the wrong side of the river. If it wasn't for me, they would have ended up in Havasu!!!
