Lorex is a great brand. They have models that monitor 4, 9, or 16 cameras...
They have systems you run from your pc, like the QLR0444C-a or you can go with their stand alone DVR w/80gb hd drive- l124a81- security recorder with a L7202 server so you can monitor it from the network or internet... DAy/night cameras work well..

I dont have any expierience, but I purchased those cheap one's from KMART. Hooked them up and I was suprised @ how well they work. Put them on my grandma's house...she lives in the vadio...so I put them up so she would see what's going on.

Not sure of the quality but Costo had a killer price (under $1,000) for a complete system in their local store a while back. The cool thing with Costco is that they stand behind their stuff even if it is out of warranty. Try their website: www.costco.com
