When I was building the boat for Sgt. Wright I met many marines. They all told me stories of how happy the Iraqi people are with what is being done over there. I wish we would see more of this in the media. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks for sharing those pictures. My son just got back from Iraq the end of October and he said it wasn't always like they portrayed on TV. There were actually people that did appreciate what our guys were doing for them

Just imagine how this war would be looked at if the liberal media would show what good is going on in Iraq. To bad the major networks and papers can't be truthful with what is happening over there. I believe if the facts were related we would see 100 of these photos to every one photo showing the negative.

The media has this big drab picture painted in front of you faces because of the way we react and the support they get from The Forking Democrats and the wachos in Hollywood like Allec baldwin for instance! I see more and more as Iget older of how the media cuts and edits sh-t sos to twist it to create what they want. they take the truth and manipulate it into a story a story that is there own creation and the scoundrels are proud of it! I hate the Media for this I think that there should be more people like senator McArthur to put the fear of the truth in those bandits!

Don't get me started on the media.
IMO they are a huge problem in this country because they only report that half of the truth that sells ads. There is way more good happening in Iraq than the body counts the headlines portray. That is basically all the news reports. They are sensationalizing morons IMO and responsible for much of the unrest in this country. Most people don't look beyond the evening headlines to form their opinions about most issues (problem there too as in "sheep" syndrome). It's a f'ed up system driven by ad money. The media basically controls what becomes the opinion of the majority based on what "they choose" to report vs what they just don't mention.

What the general public does not see is the school building, the infastructure rebuild and upgrade, the thousands of jobs available to the Iraqi people because of our presence. Mark my words, as soon as we are gone, a voice will cry out that we didnt do enough for them. All we did was blow the shit out of them and then left. That is simply not the case at all. 90% are for us over there. It is the 10% that hate us, the ones that would be malcontents no matter what. It is not near as bad as the media would have one think.

What?! No one was killed by suicide bombers? Well, I'm sure you didn't get those pics from the major media outlets. Those pictures would never be broadcast or shown. Time or Newsweek wouldn't put them in their rags.
The media only tells us when our soldiers or civilians are blown up. Otherwise they look for their miserable news elsewhere.
