As mentioned a week or so ago, I purchased a new truck from Jay (thanks again). Its a 2006 2500HD Silverado. I ordered it nearly 8 weeks ago...boy was it worth the wait. Its the new Greystone Metallic color with the new LBZ Duramax (360hp/650ft lb torque) with the new 6 speed Allison. What a package--I can't say enough about it. The power is suberb, the acceleration is amazing, the fuel economy so far is respectable (avg 17mph) and its as quiet as my mom Benz. I couldn't be happier. As you know- like many people here, I hate stock. Well, the stock look lasted for exactly one week. Here are some pics of it now.
Features:
- 6" RCD lift with Bilstein shocks installed by SDHQ (www.superdutyheadquarters.com)---thanks Jackpunx
- 20" MKW 41 Wheels (look like diamond plate)
- 325/60 Toyo Open Country A/T tires (35.4")
Soon to be added:
Remove all moldings
Shave tailgate handle
Add Escalade door handles
Billet Grill and Bowtie
Gaylord's X2000 Tonneau Cover
Gibson Performance Exhaust
(2) 10" JL Audio Subs with JL Audio Amp
10.2" Audivox Flip Down TV w/ DVD
Can anyone think of anything else I need?
Why do I need this truck? Well, if all goes well, you will see why at the LA Boat Show :) :D
Thanks again Jay!! I'm glad you made me wait- I couldn't be happier.

If anyone can size these a litte better, that would be good.
Thanks and enjoy.

Great looking truck, congratulations!
Good luck with the ride on the 35" tires - I have the same thing on my Avalanche and I'm not entirely happy with it. Lifting an IFS isn't the same as a solid front axle truck like the Fords.

Thx- I loved that last one--had it just 13 months and put almost 40K miles on it. The new proud owner of that is 'fourspeednup.' He's taking good care of it :D

Not sure yet--no one has any LBZ Duramax stuff out yet. I really just want to recalibrate my speedo as I am real pleased with everything else so far. I'll consider Superchips, Hypertech and Edge as soon as they come out with some new stuff. Let me know what you hear and what you recommend.
Thanks!

On my old one- I ran 305/40/22 tires and didn't need to lift the front. My old truck was stock in the front with 2" Bell Tech shackles in the rear to level it.
H20Ski- Did you ever look into 285/45/22s? I thought about those and then went with the 305/40s. How much does your front rub?
Brian-I would love to two the Magic Kitty around. I can't wait to tow something with this truck. In fact-I'll let you drive it, I'll just enjoy the ride and bad ass boat in the rear view :)
YES--a boat is on the way :) :D
Thanks for the great words- anyone who really wants one just needs to call Jay. Then give me your $$$$ and I'll get it customized for you :) :rollside:

Thx for all the great words--alright has almost 1200 miles--sure am glad I made the move.
For those you may not know- this truck does have a manual 'steptronic' type shift on the Allison tranny :) :D For those of you who hate the downshifts, upshifts, etc...on hills and when you don't want it to shift- no worries, now you can do it yourself :)
ColeTrickle- as soon as I get a boat deal on paper- I'll send you a PM :)
