I've got Super Secret Spy shots of the new stuff......$5/ea and there yours :crossx:
In all seriousness, Whipple is very close to being back up and running full speed, plus their new stuff should blow the old stuff out of the water. I know they had a tough time with the compressor supply issues. I personnally am glad they're back. Can't wait to see them at the top of the game again.

Just out of curiousity, what was the problem with the supply issues? Were they just really, really popular or being used by another industry?
It didn't have to do with popularity, they got an OE contract with Eaton/Ford for the GT supercar. This slowed production down a severe amount with all the PPAP documentation, quality standards, etc. that they had to meet. They also lost a very key employee. They then had financial difficulty and didn't pay all the suppliers, some cut them off, and it started a snowball effect. We rec'd approx 300 of 5000.
There is a pending lawsuit for breach of contract with Lysholm and Opcon.

So, if Whipple is not out of business......why is my bad compressor with ten hours not being covered under warranty then? Why must I send it to Lysholm when I bought it from Whipple? If I bought the pulley from Dustin, why am I being told I probably spun it too fast when I can't top 5200 rpm?

Probably because of posts like this......didn't you learn your lesson last time???
I doubt this is the way to get your compressor fixed. Maybe try e-mailing Dustin and talking with him in person. Maybe the bridge isn't completely burned.
I've met both you and Dustin and you both seem like reasonable guys. I'm sure you could work something out, but this thread is not the place.
Just my $.02,

Thanks for the input but after trying the patient, kind, sugar coated approach, and after the last email from Dustin ruling out any help by Whipple, (yes, I understand they are in bad shape financially) either now or later after they recover a bit, its obvious that I am NOT going to be taken care of so, F**k it. I am just one person telling it like it is/was for me.

So if they are not going to fix it, Shit send it off & get if fixed, I am sure that it will be cheaper than buying a new setup.
If it is going to the trash heap, send it postage COD, I will use it as a paperweight in my office, the ceiling fan really blows the papers around on my desk.
