There are a few pics out,but they are spy photos. They show the truck but you can't see much with the covering on the truck. Go to a search engine, type in 2007 chevy silverado spy photos.

The 07 Silverado's will be out in Aug 06 AS A HERITAGE edition (current body style) then 07.5 will be the new stuff..... As for the 07 Tahoes should be here in Late Jan 06... It should be a no brainer... Would you agree. Or at least make it an option.

I think the problem is consumer cost....Right now a FULLY LOADED 4x4 sub 3/4 ton LT with navigation MSRP's for $57,439.00.... now add the $7800 for diesel and allison.......Please keep in mind alsao that I would sell the 57k sub for $46,500 after rebate plus tax and lic.....1/2 ton sub's sell at approx a 20 to 1 ratio comp. to 3/4 tons....

I can see wher that would make it a more difficult decision to make. Thanks for your insight. Jay :crossx:

GM just announced that they're moving up production of the new model pickup, and the durmax will be an option. Here's the story that just posted on Autoblog:
In October of 2006, 13 weeks ahead of schedule, GM will launch its new line of Chevy and GMC full-size pickup trucks based on the GMT900 architecture. The launch has been pulled ahead by employing lessons learned in accelerating the introduction of its new full-size SUVs.
I know that many will see this as a move born from desperation, but to me it just seems like a smart and logical move for the company’s biggest-selling and most profitable product line.
There’s very little in the way of confirmed technical information on the new pickups. The front sheetmetal and interior will likely be carried over from the new Tahoe and Yukon. Our best guess is that the half-ton pickups will also utilize the SUVs’ new rack-and-pinion steering and coil-spring front suspension design, but it would not be surprising to see the heavy-duty pickups carry over the current torsion-bar suspension. Expect an array of powertrain choices from the 4.2 L inline-six to the 6.6 L Duramax, which may see another boost in power by the time the new HD models are introduced.
Here's a link to the story in the Detroit Free Press:

Is that the year when the new engine without starter, flywheel, camshaft, etc comes out? The new electronic valves without pushrods, rockers and such, or was this going to be a GM product?
