Wife has it in her new ride...I like LUCY(I think 54?) because its as close as I can find to my fav on Sirius(1st wave 22).
No NFL on XM
No matter how you look at it, regular radio in my home is almost extinct now.

Supposedly Nascar switches to Sirius next season........or it might be shared between the two carriers.

I've heard that too, that NASCAR will be switching to Sirius, when i asked the service rep when i was activating my service, she had no clue, and told me to E mail customer service, i can't wait to get my automated response from them.
Oh well, so far so good, i know the wife will love the Country stations and the kids the urban stuff, and i don't mean Keith Urban :p

I think XM Sucks, I have it, and its nothing like it used to be when i got it a last year. A lot of channels have comercials and a LOT more talking than before.

I like First Wave 22 on Sirius also. It's the same DJ line up KROQ had in the early 80's. Richard Blade, Dusty Street, Freddy Snakeskin, and Sweedish Egil.
The Wise Guys are pretty good till Howard gets there...

No chit, the old KROQ DJ's on Sirius huh? Those guys were really cool. Might have to check into that.
XM took over Direct TV music ~ I'm still up in the air about it. DirectTV played a lot more mainstream in whatever flavor you chose; XM seems to play more obscure stuff - But sometimes too obscure. Sux hearing 80's songs you never heard before, time after time after time.
Howard Stearn - needs to get over himself. Ever since he brought that fat guy to the show it has SUCKED ASS. I miss "Hey, what about ME". Jackie was the best. When he left and stuttering John stopped stuttering, it broke the mojo of the show and I stopped listening.

I agree! It's a rip off. Used to be $9.99 a month and when it went to $12.99 I cancelled it.

AMEN!
I can't imagine anything more boring that listening to people drive while I'm driving?
"Oh, he's driving in a circle, he's driving in a circle, he's driving in a circle. oooooooohhhhhhhhhh!"

Fred, Ethel, Lucy, Squizz and Fungus. Great channels, I am sure Sirrius has some of the same.
The best thing about both is, you get music all the way out to the river! :)

I love it. I only turn to FM for traffic since I am in the middle of LA and SD, the traffic stations are worthless to me. I HATE the rare occassions that I even have to do that because the 15 minutes of commercials drive me CRAZY!!!!!
I usually listen to the country/western stations 10,11, and 16, but I also like Deeptracks and Fred/Ethel. I like the comedy stations, but the skits always seem too short. However, I was pretty annoyed the other day when they had a damn Shania special on all three of the CW stations that I like. I can't stand her music. If I wanted pop music, I would go to a pop station.
Jeff's turn dial broke on his portable unit, so that is frustrating, but I think they have gotten rid of that design.
Overall, I love it.

I haven't listened to broadcast radio in my vehicle for over 2 years now. I'll never go back.
In fact, I just recently installed a new radio in the Blazer and didn't even hook up the antenna... :D :D

Guess I'm a geek. I find myself listening to the ask channel(165) every day so I can get my Dave Ramsey fix. Bloomburg and Squizz are also my favorite channels. The coast to coast show on 165 cracks me up every morning on my way to the office. Did you guys know that aliens are really angels, Vampires live among us, The gov't is practicing mind control, and Big foot is real? That is the best show on XM.

150- Comedy Channel,, 22- The Mix, 46- Top Tracks,,,, And the Phoenix Traffic/ Weather station,, so I can feel good about not being stuck in it :rollside:
When the subscription price went up, they offered a pre buy at the lower rate,, I bought 2 years worth at the lower rate. I don't even take the CD's out on the water anymore. Just the MyFi..

Mike has it in the truck so I have my settings on the XM2 band. I listen to Top 20, KIIS, the comedy channels. I also just got the portable XM2GO from my parents for my bday. It sucks because I don't really get reception from that little antenna.

Sirius (dish network) in the house and XM at work. I don't pay for either. Well I pay for Dish Network but I had it long before Sirius was with them. I can not see how XM is a bigger company then Sirius. XM sucks, hard! and i am comparing a paid account (XM at work) against the 30 channels they added to the Dish for free.
