Has anyone got any info on finding OEM sending units? I have a VDO unit gone bad and all I can find are the universal type, not very accurate and not what I have in mind for telling how much fuel is left. Rocket

Hey Rocket this is the first place I hit when I log on. Trying to learn as much about jets as possible before I tear into it and screw it up.

Yeh JN Just as soon as I get my crew out on the job It is the first spot of the day. I think I got a problem! I'm always looking in to see what the folks out west can come up with while we are shutting down.

What does the sending unit look like? Does it say ISSPRO on the top of it?

It I cylindrical with internal float approximatly 13 in long looks like a paper towel roll. It is manufactured by VDO, and I think it does say that but I'll have to look when I get home, cant say for sure. Seems like forever, locked away at work.

Hey Bud thanks for the info, Ill give'em a whirl and see what comes up. By the way what does HVAC stand for?

Hey HVAC stands for heating-ventilating-air conditioning . I am a 26 year service tech. I am 44 years old and I have been building racing engines since I was 21. I have a 1992 34ft scarab with twin 600hp 502 and these engines are using stock heads and are not supercharged. If you cant find a replacement for that fuel sender E-mail me. Good Luck

I was sure I had seen it before, had one of those moments. Did you build your 502s yourself? I have a single 502mag stock in a F242LS Formula plus a set of CMI headers. Couldnt imagine pulling up to fuel a pair of them! Rocket

They do get thirsty. It's proportional to the angle of the right arm-the less the angle the higher the gas bill. Yes I do my own design on the engine. I send out the machine work to my specs. Jim Velakeo put wedges in the stock heads and flowed the ports. I unshrouded the valves and CCed the heads then had them cut to bring the volume back down to 119 cc's. Lots of block work and rotating parts work. Not much stock anymore.
