Its easy, do it yourself. Use pressure treaded 2x6 or 2x4 and use non-rusting staples that you can buy at home depot. I did all my bunks on my old trailer. If you need new bunk carpet you can get it at West Marine or any other decent sized marine shop.

Yea....
I replaced all of mine this Summer.....
Just leave your boat in the Channel one afternoon.....
Forget the SS staples....use galvanized roofing nails....short ones to hold the material to the pressure treated wood......
Also......use galvanized 1/4" or 3/8" lag bolts from the underside.....
Don't through bolt the bunk back on.....next time it rot's, It will float up...

I bought an electric stapler at HD for about $39 and it made quick work of it. The staples are nickle plated I think. They did not have SS. They were not too pricey and were claimed to be rust proof.

Nickel plating isn't rustproof for long. I used aluminum roofing tacks about 1" long. Better penetration and the bigger head gives better holding. (Darn, that last sentence had a bit of sexual innuendo........... :D )

I'm not sure on the nickle thing, just going by memory. They were stanley rust-proof staples if that helps. Standard item at Home Depot. The other stuff may be hard to find in Havasu.

Ahh just use some old green shag carpet and whole roll of duct tape.

If you still need the work done, Richie Rich Customs does great trailer work.

I have replaced a couple... :p ..I dont like the way pressure treated tends to warp when used...I use pine and either coat it with resin to water proof...or use 2 coats of contact cement to apply the carpet...
