I figure in another month he will be ready to kneeboard behind the boat. After that my goal is to get him on one and my other Queensland up on another behind the boat so they are kneeboarding together. The older dog already does it and its a crack-up....... the trick will be getting them to do it together, I'll keep you posted. :):)

Awesome. Wish I could get my dogs to do something like that. I want to put them in the tube and tow them around the lake but worry they will get scared and jump out.

Thanks FM, check him holding the strap in pic 2 - he thinks he's in control LMAO. The first time he grabbed it he flipped himself so now he knows to just hold it :)

That reminds me of a dog named Cher who would hold her lead in her mouth and walk beside her owner all independent and shit like I don't need you to walk me - I can walk my own self cuz I am IT!! :D Dogs are funny and sometimes nearly scary smart.

Actually you can, if your dog trusts you - start by towing them around while you are swimming so they feel safe, then graduate to the boat when they find its "fun". The trick with the kneeboard is getting them to balance. I taught my older dog when he was just a pup like this, and he now only has 3 legs and can still do it - thats the funny part. You have to keep it low key and where they can stay on it. NOT in rough water or lots of other distractions. Takes patience but its worth it and they think they are King shit when they get off that kneeboard too LMAO.

I think am going to have to try that sometime.
I'm sure they would enjoy it.

That pup isn't going to be that small for long. Pulling two dogs behind you on knee boards will be cool to see. Make sure you post the pic when you get it
Yes, he is growing so fast! This was only 2 months ago..........

can't wait to see those pictures.....our lab (Blondie) just turned 1 this past weekend and she doesn't swim very well. She forgets to use her hing legs, so she is dog paddling like HELL, but not going anywhere......
I thought all labs would just swim, she is small so I think we need to get her a doggie life vest, hope the other labs don't make fun of her....;)

Like I wish with my my grandson don't you wish your pup could just stay like that :)
Yes I do, but like your grandson, its so fun watching the different stages of life. I almost fell out of my chair the other night just watching him chase a butterfly and when it flew back at him he ran the other way scared half to death. :rollside:

LOL, nothing encourages a dog to swim more than swimming with their "masters". The more they do it, the more they like it.

Our older lab is GREAT at swimming, so I thought all labs were.....guess not.
Hopefully she will get the hang of it, she is REALLY pretty but not THAT smart.;)

My neighbor has a cat that enjoys base jumping. It's not quite brave enough to jump without a toss from it's owner but you can tell the cat really enjoys it.
