and the look on Gracie's face when he was in that arm lock, he knew he was in DEEP SIHT! I was kind of a bummer to see him get his azz kicked so badly though. We were there and it was a great night of awsome fights!! I wish Johnny (canadian) had a little more offense for Diego he stuffed all of Diego's attempts at anything!!

The thing is though, St.Pierre is ALOT better than that match. He is fighting the best he ever has/will. So if Matt slaps him down, I dont know of any others who can beat him or give him a run for his money, except maybe Caro. Matt is the man though, he is also looking very solid. I wonder how long it will be before someone takes the belt from Hughes, Franklin or Liddell, they have had them for a long while now.

I saw Liddell lose a PRIDE fight, on TV a couple months ago, but not sure when the fight actually was.

Hughes definitely dominated the fight from start to finish. I've got some respect for Gracie though for not tapping out on that arm bar. Hughes is a strong SOB, and any other figher would have quickly tapped once he started wrenching on the arm. Looked like Gracie was just blocking out all the pain, and would have gone until the arm snapped.

submissions can happen to anyone and with less than 5 seconds left in the round it was a shame that St Pierre tapped... he was also a much less experienced fighter than he is today...Hughes has been submitted before too, like I said it can happen to anyone... ST pierre is the only person besides Newton that has stepped in the ring with Hughes and given him a Physical challenge... watch the first round between Hughes and St pierre, also watch the trigg vs St pierre fights and Hughes vs trigg fights..... Pierre has a very real chance at Hughes, like it or not

Deffinately agree on this one, he dominated the iceman a while back and no one has the skills he has. I doubt he would drop that much weight to fight in that class though. I wish he would come over to the UFC and fight light heavyweight.

Got to love the booing... 95% of the crowd has never been in the octogon/ring either - ugh.
Anyway - no, Diego didn't do that great, but Alessio sure as hell didn't do much either. I have to say, he was great at avoiding Diego's MANY take down attempts but that's where it ended. He was not the agressor. Diego was the one pressing the action (for lack of a better word). And trust me... I am NOT a Diego fan by any means! Can't stand him actually!
The entire card was not that great. I think the prelims that were shown on PPV were better than the main card IMO.

Deal... I ended up bribing my office mgr to babysit and took the wife... then treating a buddy who loves UFC and his wife...so although a pricey night it was damn fun ;)... oh and I won $500 at the commerce casino on the way home :D :D

I think Sylvia will knock Arlovski out again. The reason I say this is because Arlovski is probably gonna be gun shy and a little timid. Either way I hope its a great fight.
Now. more importantly (IMO) what do you guys think of the Ortiz v. Shamrock fight? I think Tito is gonna knock Shamrocks head off.
