No, never done that.
But, it wouldn't matter. I have a spare set for the boat, trailer, and spare hidden in the boat with a tye-wrap, so all those locks are covered. I also have a hide a key for the truck and a complete set of truck, house, and boat in the truck. Maybe a little over kill but I've go it covered. It was nice to have when I got out of the truck with the boat backed into the water and somehow hit the lock on the door :)

It's my worst fear whenever I forget to leave my storage remotes @ our Havasu house before traveling home. I immediately leave them in my wifes vehicle, because it's the only one that can pull our boat.

No, but my truck/house/storage keys got tossed in the channel last Saturday evening and I didn't have a spare.
I put on some goggles, used a flashlight and had someone hold me down on the bottom until I found them. Only took about 20 minutes. :D

Me too...........I rode with Music to My Ears, and left the keys in my tow vehicle at home. I have one of those locks that the body of the lock comes all the way up on the sides, and the hasp on the door has a metal guard that closes in place when it is locked. Then, if I could have gotten through that, there is another lock on the trailer tongue.
Would have been too much destruction, and we had another boat to use.

Better yet, go by a fire station and ask if you could use their bolt cutters.

Yep, I did it last year and I had those locks that are bolt cutter proof. I ended up calling a lock smith. He drilled out the center of the locks with a cordless drill with a titanium bit in about 5 minutes. Focker charged me $75.00 for it.
If I would have known it was that easy, I would have went to Home Depot and bought a new cordless drill and some drill bits. It wouldn't have cost much more and I would've at least got a new cordless drill out of it.

I left the keys to my boat lock at home and Mrs Kilrtoy had a set of bolt cutters in her garage. So if anyone loses or forgets their keys give her a call . :rollside:
I keep hide a keys on the vehicles and have a 10 digit lock box at the house so the neighbors can get in if I need them to.

Those new 18V Dewalt 4" cutoff wheel dealios can do some damage too! They cut fast...
I use this more than the 4' boltcutters these days for "locks that don't belong"... :)
If not I use a Yamaha genset and a Dewalt grinder... That okay? :)
