We stay away on the bigger weekends and we have a place in Sandpiper. We just had our second daughter in August so it has been awhile since our last river trip.
Next trip will be Fathers Day...

Last Memorial Day weekend, they got ran the f-ck off from the little sandbar by people's catcalls, etc. This year, nobody said anything. Which is too damn bad because they spent probaby three solid hours standing about 4' away from the back of my boat.
I have two little kids. I don't mind them seeing the occasional pasties or boobie, or we would not be out there, but we're at the little sandbar for gawd's sake. Just get your hot dog and move along.
LMAO.... We have 4 kids and usually hang out there when we have them with us so that don't have to see that. The first time our 8 year old saw pasties, she turned to mom and said "Mommy, what is wrong with her boobies"... We didn't have the kids with us this weekend, but we had friends from out of state with us and they wanted to stop. Where were you at? We were at the north end in the little Rienell. I remember you saying you were going to be at that sandbar, but couldn't remember what boat you were going to be in.

Look in the back of your first picture of them. See the Warlock Diablo parked next to Bill the food guy? That's us. See the chick in the pink cowboy hat at the back of the boat? That's Mrs. ShockwaveBob. I'm the guy standing behind her in the grey ballcap.
I see you John :p

I'm pretty new to the Parker scene. Last Spring Break, the sunday before Easter my family and I decided to stop at that Sand Bar at about 10:30 to hang out for a few hours. We had gone up to the state park all the other times, but they don't allow dogs and I didn't feel like getting hasseled. The spot was empty and we were having a pretty relaxing time. Well, we're there about 1/2 hour when this guys shows up with a floating restraunt and puts down right next to us! Wife and I are like, WTF? doesn't he have anywhere else to go, it's just us here. I'll eat but not enough to keep this guy busy!!
Keep in mind, we've only been there during the week previously, and avoided the weekends. We'll I say "whatever" looks like we'll kick it here for lunch. Anyways, about 1/2 hour after he had showed up and started putting out all his stuff, a few others show up and we're in the middle of all this. The restraunt boat guy said that it was his first day back that year and that this place usually gets pretty crowded. I getting to think that maybe this place isn't going to be as peaceful as we thought it might be. Eventually I asked another guy there with kids what this place was all about and he said that particular sandbar was more for the family scene, and the party'rs all go down by the casino.
I was relieved. Now I saw these pictures and I was wondering what this guy meant by family scene. Thanks for making me a little more confident that we can go back there with the kids SWB. I usually am down at the lower river by Martinez and etc and you can always find different places to go that suite you preferences, but there just aren't that many at Parker.
