I saw something close a few years ago in Omaha a man had just rebuilt his carb. and maybe did not vent long enough or whatever but as we were backing out of slip this boat exploded and the husband was killed and the poor woman was in intensive care for weeks suffering before passing away I`m telling you sounded like a bomb going off people and things everywhere and although very scarry maybe all boaters sould see how fast things can change and and pay attenyion to the vent thing.I have open engines so not something I`m concerned with but maybe everyone may want to think about every time going out. Check you blower for proper operation today. Also if your boat is carburated, check the mechanical fuel pump for leaks. Be sure your batteries are in boxes with covers.
I bet he did not bring his boat in for its yearly service to check those things out.

Yeah, that was at Folsom. Just out of Rattlesnake Bar. About five minutes after I left and waved at you guys. That boat went quick. Two guys on jet skis finally put it out by spraying it. Check out the volunteer firemen. Here's one of you too.
